He's saved the world countless times, but can James Bond save his home base of Pinewood Shepperton Studios?
Thanks to the Hollywood writers' strike that shut down film and television productions around the globe, Pinewood Shepperton suffered £3m in lost revenues for 2007. The main reason for the hit was the delay in the production of Angels & Demons, the prequel to The DaVinci Code, which was set to be filmed at Pinewood.
Quantum of Solace, due to be released in the UK on October 31, will doubtless be a welcome financial windfall for the studio.
