Here are the reasons why.
1 Its a PPK/S mold and not a PPK
2 PPK/S is virtually unheard of in the UK and Bapty would not have used this model when they have stacks of PPK's to use.
3 All of the resin and rubber PPK's used in GE where taken off a blank firing Walther/Umarex and the hero prop recently up for auction in Dec. The serial numbers on ALL stunt PPK's can be traced to their archives.
4 Bapty NEVER released any of the Goldeneye stunt guns. The couple that did make it into private hands had molded suppressors attached and came through Angels where they were originally glued into the holster used on the tac suit in the PTS.

Asp9mm, would you elaborate on points 3 and 4?
The rubber prop is most certainly a PPK/S, as I own one.
I'm familiar with the PPK/S, being in the US. I know it was manufactured to comply with a 1968 importation regulation in the states, so I can understand why it would not be available in the UK but points 3 and 4 are beyond me.
They sold a Set dressing Telephone from one of the early Bonds as well, an Old dial telephone that you can pick up in any Junk shop?
I'm not saying the pistol is not genuine but it would need a lot of research to find out if its the real deal.
My advice..... spend the money on something else!!

Bapty is the company that supplied all of the guns for the Bond films except LTK and CR. They cast the rubber and resin stunt guns off a blank firing model produced by a subsidiary of Walther, and they also cast off the REAL hero gun used in the fim too. Bapty put this hero PPK up for sale at Christies in December. On all of the stunt guns you can read the serial number and this is traceable via Bapty's archives.
Angels is the costume company that supplied the assault vests and holster for the pre title sequence in Goldeneye, in these suits they glued stunt PPK's into the holster so that they would not come out easily from the crappy nylon holsters they fitted to the chest (in some scenes you can see another PPK in the holster as well as Brosnan holding one - bad continuity). At the end of production Angels got these suits back, complete with glued in PPK and silencer. Someone removed them and they now sit in a private collection (these were molded from the blank firer)
Interestingly, in the main posters for Goldeneye, Brosnan is not holding a real PPK but a high grade resin copy molded from the original, you can tell because there is no hole in the hammer spur and the usual chromed ejection port is black. The silencer is also at an angle where the resin has deformed with use and gravity.
Up until December Bapty have never released any of the Bond guns for sale. They are also never likely to release the rest of their considerable archive as Eon have claimed that they still belong to them.

Absolutely positive. It was a US company that supplied the weaponry for LTK.

If that's in reference to the Christie's sale, I think it's still true; I was very much surprised to see Bapty were involved in the auction as I would have said EON, not Bapty, technically owned any of the hardware. The pieces on offer were actually privately held; Bapty got involved, I think, because A) they could verify provenance and
(Several years back, a friend bought a gun Boothroyd had loaned to Chopping to illustrate FRWL but was never able to get it out of the UK for the very reason that Christie's didn't have anyone like Bapty assisting them.)
There are literally hundreds of live and stunt guns and weapons from the Bond films that Bapty still have in their possession, the December sale at Christies was a minute amount of what they hold. No more are in private collections apart from a hero piece used in Tomorrow Never Dies(PPK) and a few vintage stunt pieces. Due to the current arguments over ownership, I doubt that we will ever see them resurface.
