I received Franklin Mint plates as a gift - need to know where to sell them

Hello, I recently was given three Franklin Mint Bond plates by a friend who moved and I have no idea what their worth my be or even where to sell them. I did do a little research on EBay but can't seem to find any consistency. I thought that maybe the experts on this site would be able to help me?? One of the plates I have is the "Diamonds are Forever" plate and is #HA1007, I was told that the ending numbers increase its value. Can someone help me? The three plates I have are "Diamonds are forever", "Goldfinger" and "Thunderball"
Thank You!

hi, i had these plates some years back, each plate should come complete with a certificate with a matching serial number to that on the back of the plate (painted in gold if i remember right) and packaged in a white poly box. there was one for each of the connery films, as to value, i did see a set being sold on ebay a couple of weeks ago, but, i dont think they went for a great ammount though.
hope this is of some help :)

Thanks, unfortunately, I do not have the certificates with the plates. I may have at one poit but we have moved around the globe several times and everything has been shuffled. Any thoughts on the ending of 007 in the plate numbers? There is one gentleman selling the Thunderball plate for about $800 (American) because of the plate number.

hi, i dont really know about the serial number effecting the price to be honest, though im sure if there was a 007 in there somewhere it would make it that much more desirable to a collector.

But did he sell it for that price ?

I think the numbers on the back don't really matter that much - while it would be nice to have one that ended in 007, would people really pay a premium for that ? Once again, it's personal choice - I'd pay a few pounds extra, but not much.

As for the value of the plates....... ebay do have them on from time to time, but the prices vary wildly. I've seen the plates sell for between £10 & £50 each - more selling at the lower end of the scale though.

Here are two, watch these and see how they sell.
