    Mick,
A Superlative replica. You are certainly honing your skills and vastly improving them as you progress. Well done on a prop that required so many things to need to come together to have it look accurate.
For someone your age to have achieved this level of devotion and applied skill to produce this is a testament to you.
Again, TOP MARKS on this one!!!

WOW! Ed that means a great deal - thanks for the kind words
glad you like the case, I have tried my absolute best with this
one - like i say a few small refinements will be made here and
there on this project... just wanted to post up the ''prototype'' to
see the reaction and see if there is any interest...

I appreciate I have not stated a price yet.. which leaves people
feeling 'in the dark' so to speak... just wanted to let the gang see
that its on its way and to an above decent standard...

hoping to mark a new level with this... enjoying working with
companies and craftsmen in their own fields - learning a lot from
the metal works and leather specialist / machinist's - both small
    companies but well established

Making a few changes to match the original SFX case you had from
Desmond - Even further But also a few changes to match an Original
'Brigg' Style case... the case it was based on to a degree.

Thanks Bondpropfan... glad you like it... and enjoyed the video

Pete...... I honestly thought this was maybe A project you and I
could have had a cuddle and a coasy night in front of the TV with
    a Bond DVD Box Set with :)) :)) :)) ...... I think If I stole the original
Case From EON.. and cladded it in new leather and called it a replica
it would .... still be ART..... :)) :)) ... thats probably your most kind
comment so far anyway Bud :) :))

    Mick,
You need to do a shot by shot comparison with the real thing so people can see.
The case and all its componets, how the pieces compare.
    -{
  • KleynenKleynen BelgiumPosts: 395MI6 Agent
    Great work, nice case!!
Will the 50 cases be licensed by EON? ?:)
  • scaramangasgoldengunscaramangasgoldengun ScotlandPosts: 1,388MI6 Agent
Kan that is a great idea.... definitely something to include
In the final video for the case working.... thanks for the
Input - will definitely do what you suggested as an additional
Photo album or side by side slides etc maybe on FB :007) I could
Only compare it to scenes in the film..... But that’s very... bad
And wrong :# :# to use images and video clips from films etc....
( on display plaques and stands and the like ) so must avoid that!

could maybe take the educational route to allow for what you suggest
Maybe if an owner of the case, did a comparison To the film and photos...
for educational purposes in a review article Of some sort.... might be ok

I must stress the one shown in the photos and video is a Tester / Teaser
Its not the finished case, same goes for all the items and fittings etc
This was mainly built to see if I could make it 'SMOKE' and have all the
Mechanisms working in one unit..... It’s down to the Metal Works Co and
Leather guys now... I have handed it all over to them. they plan to make
it all... I will just see the finished result next week

Thanks Kleynen.... appreciate the kind comment

Well the 50 cases don’t exist; they don’t exist on a case by case
Basis... the one in the video and photos is currently being
Broken down and cannibalised as a test rig. By myself and the
Factory... so at the moment it’s just a concept...

''The QUARTERMASTER's'' Attaché that is.... don’t think my case
was ever seen in the film, and in comparison it has to many inaccuracies
    to call it a replica

The Metal Worker, who has gotten involved in the project in a big way, has
made a point of altering it, to make it more like The Swaine Brigg Case... so
'SWAINE' will be after the metal works co soon....... Oh! Deer :# tryed to
talk him out of it but he would not listen :( :( and I am the customer aswel :))
  • thespyboys11thespyboys11 Lindenwold,NJPosts: 1,842MI6 Agent
Again, a nice representation of an iconic piece of prop from the film.

Definetly an accomplishment to be proud of making yourself.

Thanks for sharing both the video and photos of your work. Well done!

    Hope you like my efforts.....

Mick....can you advertise the fact you want to sell these...?...or are you giving them away...?...I can only assume that if you try and sell these as the FRWL Attache Case then you will have a day out in court courtesy of Eon...

What you have produced is really good so far...a great basis for you start with...and I'm so pleased that you have shared it with us here at AJB...but I'm a little worried you could drag AJB into court with you by trying to sell these here...

Yea I have already had warning's regarding the 'RUBBER GLOVED'
gang at the airports... thats why I was offering 50 of these. YES!
Given away to you guys... I was thinking we could all hit one
Airport... with one each - dressed in long black coats and bowler
hats... and it could be like the Painting theft from ''The Thomas
Crown Affair'' see which Attache' Case Gets through .... and that
person gets to keep theirs as a gift.... and the rest who are caught
    I guess..... get sore arses :)) :)) and X-rays taken :)) :))

So yea this project once Done.. will be a give away competition. as
long as all interested parties are willing to participate in the ''Airport
    Attache' Case Gauntlet'' :007)

Like I say the 50 Cases DON'T EXIST and I dont even have the one
in the photos and video anymore... as its stands I am ATTACHE'Less
the idea of 50 was part of the concept... it may come to pass that
the metal workers time and cost to make it will only result in me just
having one of these.... more than likely ... But will post up the finished
case and video since you enjoyed this one... and see if its refinements
and design changes meet with your approval Guys...

Jeez My Golden Gun was going to be a Ltd Run 8-) and look how that
turned out... so don't hold your breath :))

But I think Ed made a good point as did Donald Grant a 'Representation'

Thanks for all the kind comments Guys.. And I will look forward to showing
the finished Case... on here soon... still set for the CONCEPT release of
    JULY 2012

Hi Guys .... Thought I would post up some updates to this project

Like I said The new case is getting made from sheet metal to match the
SFX Attache Case we all know and love.... All Feedback and Comments
    welcome as always :007)

New FRWL - Throwing Knife.... Chrome Coated, With Black Acrylic Grips
way more accurate Now... No Hole in shoulder of Knife as My knife
mechanism Dosen't have a need for it - spring loaded slide pops knife
out via the lock release Pin holding the knife and its unit in place. in a
guide / guttering... will be doing an exploaded View of the case once
the projects finished showing its mechanisms and parts testing etc

    389000_252553424848388_678670366_n.jpg

Full Attache Case made from Metal & Welded Up by local Metal Works Co
Depth of the inner tray greatly increased to match the inner sizes of the
Real BRIGG case which the Film Attache case was based on... also more
accurate to the original, when comparing the depth with the AR-7 Stock

Its all go on this project now... Would have been finished by now, But
Had family over from Australia Visiting and spending time with them and
working on other things has held me back a little... but happy with how its
going now... these photos are a little out of date, the project is at a more
advanced stage, close to the whole case going to The Leather Worker For
    Cladding....

LOCKS - Updates... After contacting a Lock Supplier and Maker.. Managed to
get large chunky Gold Locks spot on to the film case with rivets at all 4 corners
of the lock plate... A key feature will be The Pivoting Function Actually Locking
the case itself... so the secret movement will actaully work as a 'trick lock' and it
wont be for prop / show... a bit of luck was involved with this, The Reproduction
Vintage style lock to that used on Old ''Brigg'' Attache's etc its mechanism loaned
itself to the idea and design perfectly without alot of machining or alteration

    Cheers... Guys ...... Mick

Mick, Your "One of a kind" replica is a nice representation of an attache' case that any agent might want to carry out in the field.

Just don't take it to the the airport...

    :)) :)) :)) :))

Well I think the case's ''Prop'' gadgets and weapons will need to
be left at home and the case carried with empty compartments

because I think anyone carrying it through an airport and caught
with the gadgets in the case... the Agents compartments would be
more than empty after the guy with the Rubber Glove was finished :))

You and SD must have been walking like Groucho Marx after clearing
Customs back into the US from UK with the Original SFX Case :)) :))
