Dr.No deadly metal hands, FE?

I was hoping to see Dr. No's deadly hands in a "statue" form, from FactoryEnt celebrating James Bond 50yrs Anniversary. I'm pretty sure it ain't gonna happen this year or years after :# Any of you prop nuts have similar thoughts that, it would have been nice display item along with other Bond props?

It's really shame that current licence holder i.e. FE has not announced anything prop-wise so far for 50th Anniversary :s

Personally I draw the line at body parts. Jaws' falsies is one thing, Dr No's mitts? Hmm..

For a Dr No prop I'd rather have the spider cage. Something about that scene that gets me on edge. Priceless classic bond moment.

    Hi Teppo

I wish we could just make whatever we wanted. Every choice is approved by The Producers first. (yes they actually personally approve each idea.) We work cooperatively with the EON/Danjaq team in choosing items and its a real honor to get to do that. We also consult with larger retail customers as to what items they feel they can best sell.

Dr. No's metal hands, I like em and thought they would make a cool piece. I did have them on an initial proposal list. But were nixed unfortunately. A lack of overall interest mainly. Some items are just not practical, or do not have enough interest to be commercially viable. I still think they are fun but you me and a half dozen others does not really make a viable customer base.

We have lots of items coming up through the 50th anniversary and beyond, the GoldenEye will be the next release VERY shortly, (pre ordering opens on June 22nd) then the Homers, then Moonraker Laser and ... well we are keeping some secrets for Comic Con next month... but yes we are working on Skyfall replicas shhhhh.

As a rule of thumb it typically takes about 12 months to get a good replica from concept/prototype stage to final delivery so we tend to work pretty far ahead. More complex items take longer and we cant say/release/share anything until its approved. Its quite an involved process.

Of course 'everybody out there could do it better' and we are terrible etc etc, I think 'W*nker' was what you called me last time? I had to take time off to have emotional counseling to recover from that which delayed all product releases (only kidding) :))

Rest assured we are busy working away on lots of Bond goodies. Keep the ideas and suggestions coming

That would be super! I've looked into doing something your way with Martijn Mulder... an issue is some will go to SkyFall in London this year and other Europe premieres so it would be next year at the earliest...
