The only information I know is that both he and his wife did meet Fleming at GoldenEye.
With his wife writing a book about his life, about the jokes etc he had to live with, when
    Bond went global. :))

Mrs Bond's book includes a reproduction of the note Fleming wrote to them: "To the real James Bond from the thief of his identity. Ian Fleming. Feb 5th, 1964. (a great day!)." That note should be enough to stop people from making up stories about where Fleming got the name...like those who say he named him after Bond Street or a church in Toronto...or TV productions that say that Peter Fleming suggested the name as a better alternative to Harry Aitken!!!

There's a dramatisation of this meeting in the 1989 film "Goldeneye" starring Charles Dance as Fleming. James Bond is played by the film's screenwriter, Reg Gadney.
So... the writer is playing a character who is also a writer, who meets an actor playing a writer who uses the writer's name for a character... my brain just melted in meta-references.

I sure that the real Mr. Bond got quite fed up with all the Bond jokes he had to suffer, Fleming should have cut him in for a pound or two!

Wow he worked in a building a mere couple blocks from where my wife works and is buried just five minutes from where I work. Never knew that!

If ever you get to the cemetery, I'd love to see a photo of his headstone/marker.

I went to visit Mr. Bond's grave today. The church and its yard are very beautiful, even with the very harsh winter delaying the year's flowers and foliage (over 150cm of snow with more expected tomorrow).

It was a brisk day, -1c with a stiff wind. I went down two or three rows of headstones and markers before finding the site I was looking for.

Below are some pictures I took of the gravesite.

Haven't see The Fugitive since I was very young, not sure of any bells in Philly except the liberty bell. Do you know the name of it, where it is, or have a clip and I could possibly locate in future.

Glad everyone found the pictures interesting {[]
