I haven't seen the David Niven Casino Royale either. Neither have I seen the Barry Nelson version all the way through. How do people rate that one?

Several people on this site already know this, but I HAVE NOT seen CR at all.

The reasons are varied - Brosnan being given the boot the way he had, this new direction the Broccolis and EON wanting to take with this reboot, messing with the Bond timeline, and I was simply disinterested with it during the hype and hoopla at its release.

Anyway, regarding long periods between watching Bond films - its been 8 years since I saw DAF (just watched it recently), I saw TLD on Blu Ray 2 years ago (the last time I watched it was in the cinema), it has been a long time since I last saw GF (I can't remember how many years; I do plan to re-watch it sometime this year), I hardly watch TMWTGG because it has little appeal to me, and I VERY RARELY watch AVTAK, which is my rock-bottom Bond film. 8-)

What the hell??? You can't just skip one of the best, if not THE best Bond movie of all time in Casino Royale.
1: Casino Royale 2: Goldeneye 3: Skyfall 4: Octopussy 5: Goldfinger 6: Tomorrow Never Dies 7: The World Is Not Enough 8: The Living Daylights 9: From Russia With Love 10: The Spy Who Loved Me

Right on brotha! I wanted to boycott CR, but ended up seeing it anyway in theaters. Ugh, I could easily have lived without it.
    My current 10 favorite:

    1. GE 2. MR 3. OP 4. TMWTGG 5. TSWLM 6. TND 7. TWINE 8.DN 9. GF 10. AVTAK

    CR is like OHMSS, some love it whilst some dislike it. I personally love CR and it was an excellent Intro to Craig as Bond. -{

For me to respect your opinion on matters James Bond, you need to have seen all the official films and read Fleming's books. :p

And for me that respect comes only after you admit that Connery IS Bond! If not, then we have nothing left to discuss, infidels! :))

For those that have seen every single Bond, what was the last one you saw for the first time?

If I understood the question correctly, you're referring to the Bond film I saw for the first time most recently. In that case, my answer would be Skyfall.

Actually, there is a "Bond" film I haven't seen: David Niven's Casino Royale. By the sounds of it, I'm glad I haven't seen it, and I don't think I'll want to see it at all.
Finally, if you have seen all of the films, which one have you not seen the longest? I think I've seen all of them in the last year and a half, but TWINE is probably the one I've gone the longest without watching.

I haven't seen Die Another Day in its entirety since its release in 2002. Since then I've watched bits and pieces of it, but I simply cannot sit through the whole film. For me, it is that bad.

Casino Royale was never my number 2 Bond film, but "wow" was also my reaction upon seeing it. I didn't like the idea of Daniel Craig being Bond - and to a certain extent, I still don't, because he doesn't look anything like Bond. But he can definitely play the part.

On a serious note, I think you should. You're missing out on learning about what Bond was meant to be :p

Moonraker was the first Bond movie that I saw during its initial release. Since then I've seen FYEO and every Bond film since TLD on the day it opened. I didn't see OP NSNA and AVTRK on opening day because of various military obligations.

The last pre-Moonraker film that I saw was Dr No, when it was on TV during the summer of 1983.

I've never made it past the David Niven sequence of the original Casino Royale.

Tomorrow Never Dies is the last one I saw. Even though I saw it a few years ago, I totally forgot it, and I watch it again this week : God what an awful movie. :o
I think it's the worse of them all, at least Moonraker is entertaining and pretty to look at !
