WTB: omega seamaster planet ocean 2900.50.91

Hello gents,

After years of being on the fence, i've decided to pull the trigger and make a purchase. If anyone is looking/considering parting with their SA PO, im and definately in the market. I figured i would start here and buy from someone who appreciates a true bond item, otherwise i am buying new. If you are interested, please let me know. Thanks everyone! -{

    Beautiful watch the PO even better when you own one - only the foolish let them go then buy them back again. Mark of a true classic

    Mine say hello - good luck in your quest!

    Cheers :-)

    Looks like ebay and watchuseek average about one a month. I've posted on all my frequent bond related sites as well..... Persistence persistence persistence

    This statement is very true, I sold mine, and in less than a year bought another as I missed it way too much. Awesome watch.

    Only reason why I have it is because of Bond reasons I guess but I like to think I'm a wearer / not a collector lol

    OP - if I was in the US I would sell you mine but shipping from my country is not good for high value items.

    Also have a Casino Royale Seamaster (not the tacky novelty ones but one used in the movie)

    Both need to go at some point to fund an Explorer

    I think that getting out of it for Bond reasons is a good Idea, now that Omega are raping the licence and issuing two watches per movie :D it is only because of Bond that they have that status, it put me right off, that and a few wise words from Totts -{ :D

    Thanks WB... I learned the shipping cost lesson last year with the SF jacket. I've only had luck finding it across the pond, not even one option here in the states. Still frustrating

    Friendly piece of advice and a hard lesson i learned.

    Never wear a watch in the shower. Despite it having no effect most times, they just aren't designed to survive such a harsh environment. The heat differential alone can cause the seals to fail, not to mention some showers pushing water out at a greater pressure than even divers watches are used too. Having the seals checked regularly won't help. The seals, glass and case materials all expand and contract at different rates when exposed to heat, and if you go from a normal environment into heated water, it can cause the air trapped in the watch to be forced out, or even sharply sucked in depending on whether you go from heat to cold or cold to heat.

    Incidently, the same thing can happen if you go from sunbathing with your watch on, to jumping into cold water. Moisture can be sucked into the watch as the shock of the change pulls moisture into the case cavity.

    Thank you gents... Good advice on the seals, never thought of the heat changes before.
