    I'm only asking because I too rate Moonraker and LALD very highly. {[]

    Well, I am starting an argument! En garde! :))

    The reason I rank TB so low might be because it contains so many great parts. I really love the beginning of the novel in Scrublands and the SPECTRE meeting. However, it also contains some of the most boring parts Fleming ever put to paper. For instance the drive to Scrublands and the 'hero story' of Domino.

    Funny how we all have different tastes - TB s my favourite Bond novel and I loved Domino's hero story as well as the drive to Shrublands among the Mn other highlights.

    I also loved OHMSS but I think the film improved on the novel by having Bond reveal Blofeld's plot.

    Least favourite - the later Gardners. I haven't ready any of Benson's novels due o the generally negative reviews and I'm hoping to start Solo next week. -{

    I think the differences in style and taste of the fans has made the Bond franchise as successful as it has been to date. (Almost) Everyone can find something they like in the novels and the movies.
