Basically is Golf still the game for upper management types, or has
It lost ground to other social sports, As I know a couple of "management"
Who don't play golf but do triathlons " Iron Man" training.

Bond plays golf because Fleming played golf (as with many other facets of his character). If Fleming had been born say 50 years later, who knows whether he would have played golf? It's still popular and he did enjoy it so I'd go for a yes.

True, I know many still play to make " connections " with other
Businesses. :)) Just curious to see if any other sport had taken
( or come close ) to taking its place.

Nowadays, Bond would have been playing COD on a twelve Month XBLA Subscription.

Going by that trend, Gustav Graves’ penchant for exotic extreme sports in DAD was spot on for a guy trying to project elitist aspirations. However, based on observation I think that golf is still a high brow activity despite it being more widely accessible today and because of the privilege and exclusivity aspects of golf, it would still be a draw for Fleming (and hence, Bond) if he were alive and active in current times, just because Fleming/Bond is a product of privileged upbringing.

About Bond's leisurely activities, would he be a regular at gentlemen's clubs today? The books hint at Bond's familiarity of the clubs as an insider and I think that there's mention that he has his meals there with friends when not on a mission. Can you imagine the modern Bond of Daniel Craig's being a regular at these places? I can't and neither can I see Dalton's Bond fitting in that scene, but the other Bonds (even with a more contemporary Bond like Brosnan's) seem like they'd fit right in.

-{ I hadn't thought about the clubs, and think you're right but I can
Still see Bond being a member of several casinos.
