I am 5'11 and he is shorter than me. The first time seeing him I would have guessed 5'9, or 5 81/2. the second time he seemed taller, around 5 10ish, which would lead me to believe he wears lifts in his shoes.
I'm just a bit over 5' 8" and he looks a couple inches taller than me. Lifts could be part of it, but his body seems proportionally longer, too.
The hairstyle in Skyfall was probably inspired by the cuts the marines get in the Navy. Being a 00 currently I think he doesn't have to follow that route, personally I think that his QoS look was absolutely astonishing in comparison to the two other movies. They should combine the best things of all three movies: definitely the QoS suits and haircut, maybe his physique from CR and the shoes from SF.
The radio piece was actually a good thing. He's a MI6 operational officer and planned actions like the one in Turkey or London involve sometimes more than one person. So support from Q or even from M when the case is extremely important is justified. He was not wearing the earpiece all the time also, when he was more of an investigator he was on his own.

I actually like the SF haircut best, seems the most masculine and i cant really picture DC's Bond fixing up his hair. it also framed his jawline well.

I certainly hope that they finally get Bond's looks right his time, you know for an x-sas type with easy smile and an expensive watch: 1) he has to have a mountain man beard, a goatee or "them mustaches". 2) if MM beard -> long and greasy hair, if goatee -> bald, and if "them mustaches" the tattooed forearms. Think of such people like John McAleese, RIP, that's what former SAS look like!

I'm probably one of the few that preferred his CR physique, probably as he looked like he meant 'business' as a new 00.
Clothing-wise I thought both the suits & causal wear in QoS was superbly chosen, along with his general appearance (haircut, lack of facial fungus etc).
IMO, Craig looked "best" in QOS. That being said I think his physical appearence in each of the three films was appropriate to the timeline in Bond's career and the story being told. In CR it is Bond's first assignment as a new "00"; he is not that far removed from his SBS days, hence the pumped up physical build and buzz cut. "QOS" the buzz cut has grown out into a classic Connery/TB cut (know in the USA as a "Peter Gunn" cut ironically) and the build is still chiseled but much less "bulky" indicating a movement toward more reliance on brains instead of pure brawn. In "Skyfall" the more haggard and grizzled facial features brought a visual reality to the years of being a "00" have taken a toll on Bond (along with being shot) while the body remains lean and chisled there is the presence of more more scars. I would attribute the return of close cropped buzz cut more to contemporary style and Bond's need for a less fussy hair style.

true, but I think its appropriate for him now anyway since his Bond is supposed to be older. but yeah I don't know what happened but he looked great at the San Diego comic con in 2010, probably the best he ever looked, and then he aged like 10 years by SF.
I'd like him to go back to the "QOS" hairstyle. IMO, Craig looked good and it's a timeless, classic style. Plus, one would assume (considering the end scenes of "Skyfall") that Bond was "rejuvinated and reinvigorated" and a hairstyle that makes him look a bit less "aged" would make sense for 24.
I phrased my post very poorly. First a joke about Dalton's LTK haircut, which for the record is IMO the worst ever (although Moore's in the 80s comes a close second).

With Craig's fine, blond, straight hair, he needs a cut that adds some body and lift. At times in Quantum of Solace, he looked like he was wearing a bad toupee (more of a hair helmet), especially when the back was too long and just kind of hung back there (most noticeable in the opera scene). Cut too short, though, as in Skyfall, and the top of his head looks pointed and his ears protrude too much -- more like the whole Gollum thing detractors complained about when he was first cast.

I think he looks cool in every Bond he's done so far, but in a Connery style haircut and a tux screams James Bond like no other since 1965.
