I just hope to God they've done the right thing and voted to remain in the Union. I even prayed about it earlier today in fact! But this is a matter for Scotland itself to decide, not outsiders. We must respect whatever decision is made.

My biggest hope is that whatever the result, the vote itself hasn't irreparably damaged Scottish society. There's so much animosity, anger, vitriol and even hatred between some members on each side towards everyone on the other, that regardless of the outcome I really do hope that life can return to normal once the results have been announced.
Furthermore, if the result is 'No' - no matter how narrow it might be - I do hope we don't see another referendum on the subject for at least two decades. And, if the result is 'Yes', I hope Tunnock's snowballs are exempt of any new export duty or taxes!

Yes, Northern Ireland makes the headlines for all of the wrong reasons when it comes to elections - they used to not count votes at the weekend until very recently and they certainly don't employ enough staff to count the votes. We have a PR system for Stormont and local government elections which complicates matters even further. All of that said, I hope that things run smoothly for all in the count in Scotland tonight and into tomorrow morning. -{

Yes, they should have had the easier job of the two camps but as the Tories have no presence in Scotland not (only one Tory Westminster MP) it was wise to head the "No" campaign with Alistair Darling and Gordon Brown who gave their utmost. -{

Very glad and relieved that Scotland voted to stay in the 307 year old Union. Now for Devolution Max as their reward. Wales and Northern Ireland can expect the same. We're better together. -{

They're talking about an announcement in the early hours of the morning but we should know for sure by breakfast time news tomorrow morning.
