    Funnily enough, I've never seen all of it, I tend to walk in and watch bits,
    Then wander out again. :))

    Just saw Terminal Velocity & The Rock. The former was a cool 90's tour de force of crazy post Cold War spy stuff, and the latter was like seeing Bond disavowed & left to rot.
    Both highly recommended.
    Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

    The Manchurian Candidate :

    Oddly I'd never seen the original till this afternoon ( I have seen the remake).
    Somehow I feel this black and white 1962 film is the superior version. Perhaps
    Because of the black & white it feels very documentary in style and the end is still
    A shock. Some fine performances and the story itself is a brilliant idea, which has been
    Used in films and TV shows many times since. I also think it was the first mainstream
    American film to show a martial arts fight sequence.
    I'd highly recommend it to anyone wanting to watch a great thriller. -{

    Brilliant film - saw it in 2007 or so and thought that Laurence Harvey would have made a very good James Bond. Brilliant actor, as is Frank Sinatra. I agree, a clever and brilliant thriller based on a book that's even better apparently. :) -{

    I watched PATTON today ,(a long film ) now during the film Patton ,played very well by George ,c,Scott , arrive at this Tunisian village in a half track and jeeps ,all with this 60s style cop car siren wailing . Now as the pull into this village, you can plainly see Pattons vehicle run over a white chicken and kill it , but a good film none the less

    Yesterdey I saw "No Country for Old Men" for the first time. It's the first movie in many months that I had to watch with additional English subtitles because that damn Texas-English was barely understandable for me! :D

    The movie was amazing though, I was especially impressed by the brutality and realism of it <which kinda sounds like I'm a psycho maniac lol>

    Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit :

    A basic spy formula movie, I enjoyed it, sure it's predictable but fun. It doesn't
    Do anything new to the genre. Kenith Branagh makes a great villain and also
    Directs -{ My wife suggested it would have worked as a hand over movie. If
    They had of had Harrison Ford training up Chris Pine as a new agent, to take
    Over from him ? :D

    I enjoyed it but at one stage I thought I was watching a chick flick. Would have preferred less of the lovey dovey and a bit more ultra violence lol

    I think it got a bit weak at the end too, maybe a bit too long

    :)) agreed about the " Chick flick" parts. :D I put that down to Branagh
    Not being an action director, the weak ending was very predictable. I
    Was able to tell my wife how the " maguffin" would be disguised and how
    It would have to be moved at the last minute. :D still I've sat through far
    Worse. :D
