Russian Crew in TSWLM

Watching TSWLM again has got me thinking about the whereabouts of the Russian Crew on the Liparus. A Russian Submarine was captured by Stromberg as well. Did he let the Russian Crew go before Bond arrived?

    It's been a while since I watched that part of the film, but I think you can see all the different
    uniforms. Still gives me an excuse to pop in the blu-ray later on. :))

    After bond tells Captain Talbot to "release the other crews" two of HMS Rangers crew run to identical hatches and push release switches. After some gun fire (to kill the guards) the Russian and American sailors come dashing out to join Ranger's officers and crew to fight Strombergs men.
    This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

    Maybe the Russians chose the alternative of extermination by cyanide gas inside their submarine. Maybe they didn't understand English and had no clue what Stromberg was trying to tell them.

    You can see the Russian crew fighting alongside the Americans
    and British. The different uniforms can be seen. ;)

    Spot the blue guys with distinctive stripped vests. The Liparus gun battle felt like a multiplayer capture the flag battle. :))

    Yes, I'd actually wondered this myself a while back on viewing TSWLM on plain DVD but I think Thunderpussy is on the money here. Anglo-American/Soviet co-operation indeed...er...up until Putin... :))
