I'm from the Sunnmøre region. In England many people have surnames after professions (baker, Thatcher, smith), but in Norway most surnames end with -sen (son of) or are geografical. That alone should tell you something about the density of the population.

I am sure that she's using machines to open samples etc.
She shows NO symptoms and you have to know that Ebola is only highly infectous in the final stage.
The people who shared the appartment with that poor Mr. Duncan (died from Ebola in Dallas) don't show any symtoms of Ebola and where very close to him.
So that lab worked on the ship has not been in close contact with him and is very liklely not infected.
She shows no signs of fever etc after 21 days of taking the blood samples and voluntarily reported herself and self - qauantined herself.
IMO there is absolutely no reason for panic - not on the ship and not on the shores of Mexico.
All passengers have received $200,-- on-board-credit and 50% off on their next cruise.

I want to honour the real heroes of the ebola crisis: the African health workers. They are severely underpaid, have little or no protective gear and no incurance. Yet they work long hours, day after day, month after¨month. Respect.
They are heroes too, but they have the best protective gear, they are rich (compared to the African health workers) and if they get infected they are flown out to get the best treatment in the world. The African health workers aren't even treated as heroes by their own. Many see them as potential carriers of the epidemic and harbringers of death. I'm impressed by the foreign voulenteers, but even more by the African health personal.
True. You have to wonder what would happen if ebola had its origins in say, Europe or the US. I think we would have had a vacine long ago. In the past outbreaks started in rural areas in Africa. The bad communication and the thick jungle was actually a plus. People who were infected were just given a hut in the forrest. The villagers put food outside the hut. If no-one ate the food for a week the villagers burnt the hut to the ground. Brutal, but simple and effective. Obviously this doesn't work in urban areas.
