I am guessing the title has already been decided.
Anyone else agree, or have a view on this?

If not, then they have a very short list.

Yes, I'd say the title has already been chosen and we'll all find out
    At the press conference. :)

Am I alone in hoping they'll use Risico? it's snappy, memorable, and they could come up with some plot device to explain it (maybe the character if Columbo could reappear.... Maybe not) :))

I agree with you. I was hoping they would use Property of a Lady as well. Maybe they will use it for Bond 24. I am guessing they will make the announcement of the new title this December 2014. Titles should be catchy and easy to say on the tongue, but not hard on the brain.

For Bond 23 I fancied Property of a Lady... and now having seen Skyfall I think Property of a Lady would have actually worked really quite well.

Bond 24 - Risico for me.

Since they are running out of original Ian Fleming titles, perhaps they would consider these:
    The Revenge of Blofeld.
    Miss Moneypenny Is Missing.
    The Lament of Le Chiffre.
    The Bite of Jaws.
    SPECTRE Has Risen.
    Return to Slumber.
    To His Grave.
    Gold River.
    Cold Moon.
    M is for Murder.
    Never Dial Q.
    A Taste of Honey.
    With My Last Breath.
    I King Your Bishop.
    A Death in Las Vegas.
    James Bond Must Die!
    The Malice of Medrano.

This time out I am a very strong advocate of "Property of a Lady." My reasons tie into the final scene of Skyfall, in which M had left the ceramic Union Jack draped bulldog to Bond upon her death. I think this would be a perfect tie in to the next film as M could have placed a message or some intelligence in it that could be used as part of the story line in Bond 24. I ran this idea past Graham Rye right after Skyfall came out and he seemed to think it was a pretty good idea at the time. I'll now see what the peanut gallery thinks. Comments welcome.

I think that is a wonderful idea. The bulldog bookend does seem ridiculous. I would have dropped it off the roof. I also think it would be a good idea to film a new flashback with Judi Dench as M. Perhaps James Bond could remember something M had told him that would be important in the next movie. We also were deprived from seeing any of the funeral of M. That would have been memorable in a James Bond film. The whole death scene just wasn't as dramatic or emotionally built-up as it should have been. Might be time for James Bond movies to be rated "R".

TP that was the title of an awful film with Robin Williams . There is an episode of Family Guy where Peter is at a clearance DVD store and he picks up a copy of Road House with Patrick Swayze, the counter assistant says "he have What dreams may come for free" and Peter says "No deal". :))

    well said...

The title is from my busy little right brain. When I try to think of titles I picture them as if they were on the cover of a Signet edition - it's what I grew up reading. It helps me to visualize if it fits in the other books in the series. Though Fleming had one word titles, he didn't seem to have a preference for them. I always like the word necrosis - you don't see it a lot and it derives from the Greek nekrōsis which is from nekroun - to make dead, which is from nekros- dead body. The cover is just a pasted mockup I created when I try out a title. I only have to change the lettering at the bottom and or the colors of the letters and background to get variations. Interestingly, given your AJB name, I always thought a nice Bond title would be something like "The Last Silhouette ".

Well, it is a Fleming title!

I often wonder what if Fleming had lived long enough to complete that - what it would actually be called in the end, and what the story will be about, and whether it would've stayed a short story. It read as though it were incomplete, which is a pity.

How close do you think they are to releasing the name? We now have a name for Star Wars episode 7, The Force Awakens. That and Bond 24 are the films I'm looking forward to the most!
