    That's actually very good - I wish you all the best with your project.

    Thanks, though I must stress that it is far from a project. It was just a way to allow me to read new Bond stories in the manner I believe IF would have continued rather than any 'updated' version produced subsequently. As I said they were always intended for my eyes only & I attempted to write them in the style of IF. Being ever mindful of possible copyright issues I shall not post any full stories but will consider posting extracts from certain critical points in the adventures to allow forum members to get a flavour of my post TMWTGG Bond.

    I am currently writing a short story entitled 'WIN, LOSE OR DIE' inspired in some way by things I have learned here. Would anyone be interested in reading it?

    It is set in 1968.

    Just a mute point, perhaps a slight change of title might help as
    I'm sure you know one of J Gardner's continuing novels was
    Also called Win, Lose or Die. ?

    I'd be interested in reading it yes, the title point aside. :) -{

    No I didn't know that! :)) Apart from the two I have (& I've only read one) I am unfamiliar with the Gardener novels. The short story will be renamed forthwith!

    As a taster, here's the opening lines of the (to be renamed) short story.

    Tailing a man, any man, but especially a man who may be sufficiently trained in the techniques of countermeasure is never an easy task. However there are always certain exceptions to the rule & the situation which Bond now found himself was indeed one of those very same exceptions...........................

    I haven't forgotten about this & am working on a serialised short story. The first chapter is almost complete. It is entitled 'NEED TO KNOW' & I hope that some of you may enjoy reading it.

    Right final call:

    A collection of Short stories under the umbrella title 'NEED TO KNOW' opening with 'BLOWBACK' (The title is a name used in the espionage world for a covert operation which has unforeseen repercussions)

    The first installment will be posted in the next day or two...............

    I'm going to post the first installment of this short story in its on thread here in the literature section. Ive even mocked up a book front cover to make it look more the part. I should have it posted by the weekend. The first part is not long but hopefully sets the reader up for what is to come.

    In fact I'll post the faux cover now as a taster.
