Absolutely -{ I'd hate after every outburst to have to read
    The Former James Bond. :#

I read somewhere he was quite keen to play James Bond in the mid 90s, just after Dalton. Broccoli turned him down.

I myself never saw Gibson as Bond. Only in that film, "The year of living dangerously" he plays a slightly Bondian character quite well. But he's too short and american.

The white short-sleeved shirt in DAF's PTS was pretty bad...

Bad for most of us mortals, but on Connery even that look was cool! Besides, would you want to be the one to tell him about his fashion faux pax? I sure wouldn't! :))

I don't agree. Actually in DAF he has an awful, ill fitting wardrobe. Might be the 70s fashion, but also his bad shape didn't help , which only goes to show that Connery is a mere mortal too. When he didn't work out and ate and drank too much, he didn't look good.

Even at his worst, Connery is still the best. :D

Sorry Barbel, but I really do like it better... 8-)

You had me with you on everything except the title song. The worst ever, in my book.

I love A-ha's! The Pretenders' songs work well as end titles and as Necros' theme.

Since the radically changing tones of the Bond films are their enduring strength, Craig's next one better be his 'YOLT'. :v

Definitely modern Bloefeld would be a good idea IMO. It will not happen though, because of the Kevin McClory/TB thing I guess.

Virgil37, now I could be wrong ( wouldn't be the first time) but as far
As I know, all the legal ends have been tidied up and EON now control
    The rights to everything Bond, even the McClory stuff. -{

DAF is an exercise in style over substance, but WHAT style! No matter what anyone says, my first Bond movie will always be very dear to me, the beautifully photographed seedy Vegas, Tiffany's wonderful cheeks, the vicious Franks fight, the Whyte House climb, Barry's sublime music, Wynt & Kidd- it all adds up to classy, sassy (if sometime trashy) entertainment.

Quite right. The mundane oil rig scenes prevent it from being a classic but up till then it's a weirdly watchable mix of comedy, sleaze & sadism with Connery effortlessly cool throughout.

I'm with you all the way except the part about "Tiffany's wonderful cheeks". I'm sorry, but as a fan of "wonderful cheeks" I'd have to say that Tiffany's are practically non-existent! :#

    Sean Connery is overrated.

Octopussy, License to Kill and The Living Daylights were great.

    Die Another Day wasn't bad.
