Why isn't Pussy considered a villain?

Why isn't Pussy Galore considered a villain? Yes she turns to bond's side, but so do Jaws and Mayday, and they are considered villains. Yet Pussy has always been considered an ally. Why is this?

    Because its Honor Blackman..

    She's still going strong now. An in those days was resplendant for her work in 'The Avengers', Jason and the Argonauts and 'A Night to Remember'. She still pops up in soaps now

    Its a funny query though.She's definitely one of the villains at the beginning.

    Because of the sexual innuendo from the very first minute that she appears on screen. Her first line, "My name is Pussy Galore".Her name isn't there by chance. You tend to focus on her as girl (as Bond himself does), instead of the gun she's pointing at him, which Bond mocks ("Pussy, you know more about planes than guns").It's similar with May Day.However, even though they have sex early in the film, there's not as much tension there between the characters.

    Also, at the end of the film, Bond is with Pussy. It didn't happen with May Day or Jaws.

    However, she's clearly a villain on Goldfinger's side.

    Good question. Did you happen to read the little discussion Virgil and I were having about this over in the "serious problem" thread ?

    Next time I watch Goldfinger I will definitely be taking Pussy Galore seriously as a VILLAIN.

    She is, Firemass. In fact we only realise she changed sides at the very end. Granted, she helps Bond a lot by changing the gas capsules. and the movie hints she's not that keen on Goldfinger, when he tries to touch her hand and she refuses.

    I'd say she'd count as Chaotic Neutral, rather than Lawful Evil or Evil Neutral like Bond villains more usually are.

    Also Honor Blackman looks like the result of a teleportation accident merging Jeri Ryan and Kate Mulgrew. :))

    She is only in on what she thinks is a heist -- that makes her a "bad girl," but not necessarily a villain. Consider her reaction when she finds out that Delta Nine is lethal. In addition, her motives are explained. She simply wants enough money to go somewhere and be left alone. The typical villain in a Bond film is driven by ego, evil, malice, or a combination. She's a thief and a rascal, but not a classical villain.

    Yes, Pussy is a Chaotic Neutral character like Han Solo or Captain Jack Sparrow; dishonest, self-serving, and sometimes very dangerous, but not going out her way to consciously kill millions for profit and conquest.
