The Bond figure was supposedly issued in at least three different outfits.
Several more variations on the sets have turned-up since this was laid-out.
I believe the gun set is fan-made.

Incredibly rare original Aston Martin Lagonda 10x8" press photo of the Goldfinger road car FMP 7B (identified as FMP because of the exposed radar scanner in the wing mirror, leather bumper protectors behind the over riders & of course the JB 007 number plate) about to leave the Newport Pagnell factory after it's full screen gadget refit as the second official tour car. The press release dated 2nd December 1965 (my late mother's birthday) details the car's appearance at the New York Coliseum -{
As a self-appointed authority on “Everything Or Nothing”, I am on occasion contacted by auction houses, official production companies, production crew or private individuals and asked my opinion of “this?” “THIS” can lead to months of research or on a rare occasion I know exactly what I am looking at. Back in 1998, Bob Stevenson submitted to Christies first James Bond auction Lot# 216A, Goldfinger, 1964. A prop Broom-Handle 7.63mm Mauser pistol of moulded resin including various features such as armoury number, maker’s marks and blade foresight- made for promotional purposes for the 1964 UNITED ARTISTS/EON film Goldfinger.
Initially I was quite sceptical of Lot# 216A because I owned the unseen screen weapons tray Mauser pistol created by John Stears which was later retained by Ken Adam at Pinewood Studios and I knew that the stock which was believed to have accompanied Mr Stevenson’s pistol still resided in the Official Bond Archive although they had no pistol. As Mr Stevenson also drove the converted road car FMP 7B for it's promotional tour for Thunderball there is a very strong possibility that this is where Lot#216A actually originated from.
In October 2014, I was contacted by an individual who was also enquiring of my opinion of “this?” however “this” turned out to be an identical Mauser pistol to Mr Stevenson’s with an Identical stock to the Archived example. At this time I did not know who he was or how he acquired the piece?
Further contact revealed an amazing back story where the individual was an ex-employee of Aston Martin Lagonda who as a child in 1968 had been gifted the prop by his uncle, an AML employed carpenter who had worked on the refurbishment of BMT216A for its usage as a promotional Goldfinger & later Thunderball tour car. At the time his uncle had simply said “this came out of James Bond’s car”. He had played with the piece as one would a toy and indeed his sons had also played with it. Until the present day it had resided perhaps forgotten? in his son’s toy-box until he thought that perhaps he may just have something unique and perhaps valuable here?. Considering it’s decades of play use the only major damage it had suffered was its safety catch and rear sight blade had been broken off and lost regrettably where Mr Stevenson’s pistol had lost its safety catch and partial trigger. It is also quite feasible that the damage to both pistols actually occurred during their promotional usage?. This particular prop had also been repainted a number of times over the decades from play wear.
After much negotiation and a trip to AML's home town Newport Pagnell, the pistol is now the latest addition to The Modest Collection and in Goldfinger’s 50th Anniversary year, an unknown find such as this, well in this collector’s opinion it does not get much better than this? and yes, EON have been informed of the piece’s existence and its availability for exhibition purposes.
Further research supported by British Pathe archival images suggest that the Mauser may have came from the 1965 tour car because at the April 2nd-17th New York 9th Annual Automobile Show held at the NY Coliseum the pistol & stock were absent from the weapons tray having having been substituted by a fibreglass Luger P08 parabellum pistol. The original cut out for the Mauser is clearly visible beneath the substitute Luger pistol.
I do not believe this has been recorded before but there were actually 3 different versions of the weapons tray created for 007's DB5. Version one, the screen tray contained Bond's AR7 rifle (stock only), the John Stears created stunt Mauser pistol with plain grips, a hand grenade and commando type knife. Version two utilised in both tour cars contained the Mauser pistol with Bolo 9 grips, Mauser holster stock, a hand grenade and commando type knife. Version 3 which is believed to be the prototype and Archived tray contained the Mauser holster stock, a telescopic sight which would not fit the Mauser, a hand grenade and a commando type knife...the joys of research! -{
