I think Gassy Man's suggestion of the blues is closest. We know from Sir James Molony that Bond suffered from the blues following Tracy's death, and even in earlier years Bond is very much a romantic in his approach to women (romantic in an older sense if the word; I don't think he would like rom-coms ) ).

There was a line in TMWTGG book where Bond hears a favourite song of his being played in a Jamaican bar. But I can't remember what it was and I'm at work pretending to work so I haven't got access to it.
As for now, I know for a "fact", proper gen, pinky swear that Bond absolutely loves the retro jazz style of the amazing singer CARO EMERALD!

It's interesting that in all the years that Bond films have been made, we know next to nothing about this. A good question. We know he doesn't care for the Beatles. Daniel Craig's Bond is a Gen-Xer, and he and I are almost exactly the same age (which is why they'd better start making films faster), but if he grew up on the stuff I did, along with his dark personality, I'm guessing more like Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, that sort of thing, along with classical jazz and symphonies. His Bond is much moodier, so maybe he would be into the blues. I'd think he would still be listening to modern music, too, leaning toward the nostalgia craze that ironically is where the next artist for the theme song should be coming from.

I got creative and thought of a few albums Bond might have in his sparse collection:
Frank Sinatra cause Bond has been to NY, a very Frank city, and likes quiet melancholy Chairman of the Board tunes like "Wee Hours of the Evening"
Louis Armstrong and Miles Davis because 007 has been to New Orleans, digs Louis, and Miles appeals to Bond's darker side, with Davis fantastic playing of challenging, often sharply disjointed music.
Bond might have 2 classical records, Bach, Brandenburg Concertos, and Beethoven piano music. Even keeled, thoughful, measured music.
And finally I will give Bond, the Beatles non fan, credit for having one Rolling Stones album. High Tide and Green Grass, 1960s early greatest hits LP. Perhaps 007 didn't like She Loves You Yeah Yeah Yeah, but he responds to tunes that remind him of his mortality and women of the past, The Last Time, As Tears Go By, Satisfaction, etc. Something about the Stones darker side gets under Bond's skin for his late nights at home between missions, spent brooding, remembering, or throwing on an album for a midnight female visitor.
This is a fun idea, let's grow Bond's LP collection.
If your referring to Fleming's Bond, it seems that his tastes ran along the lines of Fleming's as did his other tastes (cars, cigarette/liquor brands, etc.). Men of Fleming's background and time usually enjoyed classical music or jazz, blues, swing performed in the "cocktail lounge" tradition that one heard in expensive hotel bars and resorts. They also enjoyed latin dance and calypso - a popular style in the 1940's and 50's. If you research many movie musicals back then - even Fred Astaire films- that music was very popular. Notice in the novel DN, Fleming knew the words to "Mary Ann".
As far as the EON's Bond, I would be guessing, but from watching the films it seems that Connery's version may have had tastes similar to Fleming's and perhaps Lazenby as well.
As far as the rest up to Craig, probably would still fit into the jazz/classical group (though
they had Dalton attending the classical performances in TLD because he was on a mission,
he looked right at home in those concert hall settings). Craig would be a tough one for me,
though if pressed I would probably say jazz and blues over rock. I also would say that all

I'd say that he knows the classics, has been to the opera and the ballet (but considers them a bit effeminate) and the expensive sound system in his DB9 plays songs that remind him of passionate couplings with the aforementioned sulky chanteuse.
Surely he only listens to the classics: John Barry, David Arnold, with a touch of George Martin, Bill. Conti, Marvin Hamlisch and a few others thrown in...
