Brilliant movie... loved it, loved it, loved it. (Probably more than my 9 year old...although to be fair it was his 4th time watching it, my first time)
Great message - and super clever! Gutted it's not in the Oscar running.
The song is, sure I saw it in the nominations list
I'm sure the feeling, after years of work, was not of joy, when they were recognised for a song, rather than their hard graft over the animation side...
She's worth whatever chaos she brings to the table and you know it. ~ Mark Anthony
Watched The Dark Knight, last night. Hadn't meant to, just sat down
For a key scene and ended up watching it all ) , after Bond, Batman
" Is my go to guy !"
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."

Thats the Joker one right? Prob the best Batman film (though I'm partial to the lighter Keaton original)
I watched Octopussy last night when getting to sleep! The other half was disgusted with Moore pulling young Magda!
Eagle Eye :
Caught it last night, ( haven't seen it in years) still a great thriller. An ordinary
Man gets caught up in various espionage capers, until everything comes
Together at the end. -{

I watched The Imitation Game last night, which I thought was a very good film. An outstanding performance by Benedict Cumberbatch as the mathematical genius Alan Turing who created the machine which broke the Enigma code in WWII. Enigma has always been a fascinating subject for me and I love films set in that period. It also made me want to revisit Michael Apted's Enigma, a fictional story but another very good film in my opinion.
I saw Mads Mikkelsen in a rare good-guy (or at least sympathetic guy) role in the Danish film A Royal Affair. He plays the personal physician to the borderline-insane King Christian VII, who rises to become virtual dictator of Denmark and lover of the queen. Good history, good entertainment.
Watched the amazing spiderman 2.
Never thought I'd get bored watching a superhero movie but I did.
The special effects are fine, but for large parts the story just plods along.
I much prefer the first film to this.

I like 2 a lot, but yeah, it's slow in spots. I also don't like the powers fading in & out, and MJ getting married. But it has one of the best lines ever in a superhero film:
"This is really heavy..." )
I prefer the first & third, but when I'm in the mood I'll watch the second.
Primeval :
Big Croc movie, with dumb people trying to catch a smart croc.
All the usual, characters, and all eaten in the usual way. I was
Too tired to change the channel. )

I saw that too yesterday, total pile of pooh, but fun in a daft way, Unlike Rome, New York has a more positive attitude to filming in its city, the scenes on the Empire state building observation deck brought back some great memories
butdid manage to watch "The Wizard of Oz" yesterday, any excuse to wear my red slippers and Dorothy bag
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

I watched some of the Bulge, too, but it seemed odd in that it took place a) in height of summer and b) on the open plains, when it took place in December 44 and I thought it was amongst the woods, okay it was a large battle.
Watching The Avengers re-runs on True Entertainment that's channel 61, at 8pm. It's the Emma Peel black and white ones. Episodes end with them on some kind of jallopy or quirky vehicle. That said, having them on daily can be too much of a good thing.
Some future Bond alumni turn up, such as Max Kalba from TSWLM, as an East European.
Kingsman :
Great action film in the same vein as " Kickass" cartoon, over the top
Violence but tremendous fun. Colin Firth is great as the experienced
Agent ( I mentioned him long ago as a possible Bond villain -{ ). With
The wonderful Samuel l Jackson and Mark Strong.

I too like the two Keaton Bat films, the following two films with kilmer and Clooney
Were just as bad as the camp 60s TV show.

Not quite as bad as I thought it was going to be given the reviews ...
Still pretty awful though.
Not bad at all. Quite creepy. Interesting concept and a little different.
Now I've finished my possession movie night ... I'm off to bed to have a good nights sleep ... or not! ...

Interesting links as the literary James Bond was involved in the Ardennes Offensive too! -{
Jennifer Connelly, that is all )
