just read this today. then was surprised how many people are behind the idea. thought about it awhile and said why not he is a great actor! Andrew Lincoln...now let me hide while you all start throwing things! I only read about this it's not my idea!
DC's actual height is always debatable. I would say he's actually a smidgen under 5'11. And yes, I think too short. Bond should be 6'1" . Just my opinion.

no way he's just smidgen under 5'11, ive seen him multiple times in person and hes like 5'9, even in SF its obvious.
Benedict Cumberbatch is certainly a possibility...but perhaps he's too famous now.
By the time Daniel Craig's contract is up Benedict Cumberbatch will be the wrong side of forty. He has previously been rumoured to play the villain, that is a more realistic possibility, IMO.

Yes, I'd imagine you're right in that regard. -{

Not a bad suggestion at all. He's great in The Walking Dead, currently my favorite television show.
Ugh, no. Andrew Lincoln is one of a slew of bird-faced actors who've descended upon the movies lately. If you put him, Bradley Cooper, Edward Norton, and Sean Penn in the same room, I'd think I'd been drinking and am seeing four of the same person.
I like Cumberbatch as Sherlock, but as I now have proudly on my FB page, he looks too much like Butthead from Beavis and Butthead to be taken seriously as Bond. He was, however, my choice for Q.
Bond has to be less generic and more unique. If they want to go back to dark hair and features, which I believe they will, that's fine, but there are better personalities to be under consideration. If they want to continue the Craig timeline, Dominic West might be a good "out of . . ." choice, though he's not someone I'm necessarily advocating.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau actually plays a villan in the Movie the photo is taken from - "Headhunters". Empire Awards awarded the move "Thriller of the year" in 2013. Director Morten Tyldum ("The Intimidation Game") was approached to do SPECTRE before Mendes agreed to do it.
I have said for years that Viggo Mortensen would make a good villan.
What would be the back story for a new Blofeld? Detatched from SPECTRE perhaps?
Russian oligarch? Made his fortune in the turbulent immediate post communist era, where only the most ruthless survived. He found himself at the head of the most powerful Russian crime syndicate & has since systematically crushed all internal opposition from lesser gangs. After securing his position he has spread his influence westwards until his ambition collides with the national interests of the British Government. MI6 is tasked with bringing him to heel. Bond is dispatched to undertake the mission.
the photo of the actor sitting in the chair could well be a screen shot from a scene where the new Blofeld is directing operations.

Also, he's already 41 so will be mid/late forties by the time DC hangs up his PPK.
Please for the benefit of us dinosaurs (me) could you please post a photo of any other suggested actors as I haven't a clue who you are on about!
For example I've never heard of Andrew Lincoln - but I hope he is British!
At least the red hair would point to Scottish roots!
Even I've heard of these & IMO they could each play a more urbane Bond.

Got a bit of Viggo Mortensen about him in that pic (who btw I always thought had certain Bond credentials)
