Lazenby does not get name credit for OHMSS?

I posted this on a follow up to another topic, but thought it could use a thread.

One thing I did notice is on the DvD cover of OHMSS that I own (the early 2000's re-release, the ones that spell out the 007 logo when the spines are lined up).

I noticed that unlike every other Bond, George does not get a "Harry Saltzman & Albert R. Brocolli present George Lazenby as Ian Flemings James Bond 007 in: On Her Majesty's Secret Service"

He does not get that, he simply gets: "Harry Saltzman & Albert R. Brocolli present James Bond 007 in Ian Fleming's: On Her Majesty's Secret Service"

I wonder why? all the other Bonds get their name credited.

That is consistent with what was on the movie posters for OHMSS. I think they were trying to downplay the fact that it was a different actor playing Bond. Still, I don't understand why they have to do that for the DVD release as well.

I agree with Golrush007. Lazenby was given the same billing in the credits of OHMSS

Ian Fleming's OHMSS starring George Lazenby

as Connery was given in DN (and FRWL)

Ian Fleming's DN starring Sean Connery

and IIRC paid the same amount of money as well. From GF onwards Connery was given above-title billing, having reached major star status, and retrospectively (and for consistency with TB, YOLT and DAF) that's reflected in the DVD covers for DN and FRWL. Lazenby didn't reach that status.

Lazenby does not get name credit for OHMSS?
