OK, I probably will soon find out that everyone else knows about this and I am posting old news, but on the odd chance that I am not here goes .
Is anyone going to the Bond in Motion display in covent garden on the 21st and 22nd March to see the bond cars and bond displays in the musuem ?
Kind regards, Mark

I've been to this and found it very expensive for what's on show.

To mark the first anniversary of BOND IN MOTION at the London Film Museum, the museum will be hosting a weekend of Bond-themed celebration on 21st and 22nd March 2015. Distinguished Bond film crew and contributors will be holding talks, tours and open Q&A sessions in the museum throughout the weekend. Speakers will include production designer Peter Lamont who worked on 18 Bond adventures. The official Aston Martin owners club will be descending on the Covent Garden Piazza outside the exhibition for the weekend with over 30 vehicles from the past to the present. All anniversary activities within the museum will be free to BOND IN MOTION ticket holders.

I visited original BOND IN MOTION in Southampton and before New year in London film museum, all I can say is no worth to go there,£15 and you can go around in 2minutes! I just can't compare those two exhibitions.Only good thing was agusta westland, but you can see it from outside :))

I did a video for thebondexperience which I'm putting the finishing touches to now to send to David. There are loads of iconic vehicles and models to check out. But if you're unsure, just wait till the vid is up on David's site.

I was really impressed with the National Motor Museum hosted BIM exhibition and had a great day out. Is the one in London smaller then?

That description of the 21-22 March sounds like it will turn into a bear pit, so I think I will stick with this weekend or maybe not at all depending on what you have to say Norcha.

I wouldn't sugest! I mean if you haven't been in National motor museum, then yes it's worth to go to London film museum!,but as you have been there, then you will make comparesing and you will be disappointed-it's half less vehicles and items in London! No Hondas,no Land Rover from Skyfall. I really mean half or less.
But there is Agusta westland from SKYFALL,which is cool.
I guess as special event,it could be more fun. They had Belvedere special event with Martini bar in past. But I would suggest to wait a little bit longer till they have Spectre DB10 and maybe Jag in exhibition. Which I heard will be soon.
And I bough BOND IN MOTION T-shirt,really nice but £20

Went yesterday and your right, nowhere near as good at the NMM hosted display. So glad I saw it there. This is only worth the visit if you didn't get down to Hampshire and even then, what's with the bloody awful dark 'mood' lighting? They need to turn the lights up so you can see the exhibits properly.

Yes the lighting was a problem, as Graham Rye mentioned in his review when the exhibit opened.

I still enjoyed my day there but I missed out on Hampshire, so don't have a comparison to make. I was also a bit put out when the staff upstairs said they were prohibited (Lord knows why) from taking a snap of my wife and I stood by the bank of screens just inside the entrance, so had to make do with an inferior selfie...

The brochures accompanying the event are different, if this is of any interest.

I think the London brochure is of better quality and larger content than the Southampton one.

I'll be popping down to Covent Garden on Saturday to check out all the bright and shiny Astons, the owners will have on display.

I've already done the Bond in Motion exhibition and it is worth going if you haven't been, if a bit expensive. I'll go again when the Spectre vehicles arrive later in the year :007)

Any idea when that will be? I guess August might be too early?

Would they be the stolen Range Rovers ? :))

:)) Who know where those Range Rovers are now..?

I have no idea when the Spectre vehicles will go on display but would guess around July/August? Filming will have wrapped and they can get the school holiday crowd in. Or they may leave it until September to boost ticket sales after the school holidays and time it to peak interest for the film release a couple of months later.

I think you might be right, I remember seeing the Skyfall Landrover 110 (smashed up) in Harrods around the actual film launch

If memory serves me rightly, didn't they also have a DBS in the window for the QOS film release?

I went last year and it was pricey but I did enjoy it.

The bad points are: it is quite dark, and you can get round quite quick.

The good points are: the vehicles that are there - CR DBS, QoS DBS, DB5, AM "Vanish" (didn't always see that one :)) ), AMV8 from TLD, and loads more. You can stay in as long as you want without getting thrown out. You can take pics.

I would recommend it if you are in London, but maybe not worth a long trip just to see it. Combine it with a weekend of Bond sightseeing.

Love the video David and Blair!

I went last week and as well as seeing the exhibition I got to have a chat with John Richardson and Lindy Hemming - so it was especially worth the visit!

Here's a link to my review of what we saw:

    Enjoy!

Great review Aston Martin DBS - was that the Saturday (21st)? I didn't realise Richardson and Hemming we're attending, otherwise might have gone myself!

I went for the first time in London the other day, after seeing it at NMM twice last year. I was quite disappointed honestly - nowhere near as much stuff as wha was at NMM, and even without the BIM NMM was good for the Top Gear stuff. The only two things I can say that we're better at Lodon was the fact the Vanquish was more visible and the Mustang had been refurbished - it was looking bad at NMM.

Out of interest, here is a list of vehicles that were at NMM but not in London:
    - Goldfinger - Parachute
    - The Man With The Golden Gun - AMC Hornet
    - Moonraker - Glastron CV - 23HT
    - The Living Daylights - PIG
    - The World Is Not Enough - Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II
    - Die Another Day - Ford Thunderbird
    - Die Another Day - Osprey Hovercraft
    - Die Another Day - Ice Dragster
    - Die Another Day - Parachute
    - Casino Royale - Skyfleet S570
    - Casino Royale - Aston Martin DBS (Undamaged)
    - Quantum Of Solace - Ford KA
    - Skyfall - Landrover Defender 110

Plus a whole load of miniatures and props. It was much better at NMM, and one final thing I didn't like about it at London was the position of the Die Another Day Switchblade Glider - which could have been missed if you didn't look up going up the stairs - and the position of Goldfinger's Rolls Royce.
