    I think we shop workers have all lost our patience with unreasonable customers at times but I've never been suspended for it. I'm always on the till so customers are my bag. It seems rather draconian to suspend you like that, though. :#

    I'm not the violent Type. Retail is a **** Industry to work in, and I'm dying to get out of it. On the Flip side, the OH works at HMV and she couldn't enjoy it more.

    I've worked in retail since 2002 and my first job and as stag says there's always that small minority out to cause grief over very little but one must try to keep one's temper I suppose. :))

    I hated retail when I worked in a shop...used to work part time for an upmarket company and one time a posh t**t customer called me a 'peasant salesman', never forgotten it. Who says the class system is dead in Britain?

    Not sure about that, all I can say for sure is my old force doesn't recruit anyone direct from civilian life. All candidates have to be a serving PCSO or Special.

    I've just had a look on the net & it would appear that many forces are advertising for PCSOs. I put PCSO recruitment 2015 into the search bar.

    Obviously they have started again...three years ago they definitely weren't recruiting...

    Good luck AOS. The reality is that these days we all have customers, whether Joe Public or "internal customers" so it's hard to avoid them. Just keep your cool on Tuesday, explain clearly and with out emotion what happened. I'm sure your good service will stand in good stead. -{
