I kind of want to read the script, justifying it like how movies are better when you read the book first. But since Bond films have rarely followed the books so closely (with the exception of FRWL and OHMSS) I think I better wait for films to come out since reading the book is often quite different from reading the script.
I re-watched it two or three times straight off because I seriously mis-heard Mr White's line - "you're a c*nt, dancing in a hurricane Mr Bond". Bit strong I thought, especially for a no-cuts trailer.

Is there something wrong with Mr White's eyes? Is he now blind?
I'm guessing his eyes are dilated. I get the impression he's in hiding and probably hasn't been in the daylight in years. Since it's a movie, it's just an exaggerated dilation for effect.

I share your pain BLeiter! I too have stuck my fingers in my ears going "La, la, la." Usually I only have to do that when Pussy and Capt Scarlet have a drunken sing song in the SABS!
The trailer does not give too much away, and I think there is excellent potential here. I hope we DON'T get some hideously awful twist such as Bond and Blofeld are close, or M is part of Quantum, because to me, that would damage the Bond myths, and be cheap theatrics for one plotline.
Reassuring to see that Ms Harris is as lovely and engaging as always too. She has def earned her stars in the Moneypenny hall of fame.

First, this dialogue is incredibly "on the nose" and the same idea could've been communicated much more subtly.
Second, this bit of dialogue is a standard bit of screenwriting nonsense. There's a "rule" now that a secondary character must tell the main character (preferably within the first ten minutes of the film) what his problem is and this will become the theme of the movie.
I hope this gets cleaned up a bit for the final version.

I thought this bit of dialogue was a bit odd at first, and I wondered how it would fit into the film. Then it occurred to me that perhaps it was just for the trailer. The Skyfall one had a line from M, when she is typing Bond's obituary, which goes something like "what can you say about a man like that", that we didn't hear in the film itself. Maybe this bit from Moneypenny is along the same lines?
Wow, I'm blown away, really. Just saw the trailer. Goosebumps, good sign. Very shadow-ish and dark. I love the use of shadows to conceal what they don't want us to see (yet). I love everything.
That "you don't trust anyone" from Moneypenny sounds quite mysterious, and it really sets the stage for "who is Blofeld". And it could be anyone.

It's nothing different from what M said to him in Casino Royale when Solange's body was found. Moneypenny was being blunt, you wouldn't deliver a line like that subtly in the real world, maybe it's the cold side of us English. We need to wait and see the full scene.
They have an outline up which doesn't go into too much detail, but says basically what happens in bits and pieces up. I can give you the reddit link if you want. and its faster than reading the whole actual script. I just read what happens up till the opening song and a few stuff after.

Sadly Caroline Bliss didn't get to do much as Moneypenny. So many times
I think she gets forgotten. Although I remember TSA saying he met her in his
Shop and she was a lovely person and still beautiful. -{

Caroline Bliss was the best Moneypenny. Samantha Bond wasn't too bad in GE and TND, after that she lost her way a bit.
Lois Maxwell was better when she was hamming up with Roger.
Not sure about Harris yet. A bit too annoying so far.
I don't mind Caroline Bliss, but I think it was Timothy Dalton's fault that she didn't find her place. His interactions with her were pretty awful in The Living Daylights. I found Samantha Bond thoroughly annoying in all of her films. I wish they held on to Caroline Bliss for Brosnan's films.
I quite liked Bond's Moneypenny. Die Another Day wasn't her fault and she was great in Goldeneye. TND and TWINE were solid enough performances by her IMO though I feel like she peaked with Goldeneye.

Naiomi Harris is a totally different take on the Money Penny character. A former field agent, now administrative / personal assistant to "M". The jury is still out IMO....need to see where this all goes in "SPECTRE". I have a feeling she will be established as one of Bond's few "friends" (possibly with"benefits) and confidante.
