    Wasn't he considered for the Bond role allegedly? :) -{

    :)) I don't know if one of the pirates of the Caribbean now has the record but
    Scaramouche had/has the longest sword fight on film. ;)

    Apparently, and I stand to be corrected on this, the young James Stewart was told "we already have a Jimmy Stewart" by Equity so picked his grandmother's maiden name to become Stewart Granger. He was still called Jimmy by those who knew him, which included Ian Fleming who mentioned "Jimmy Stewart" as a possible Bond- meaning Granger, not the star of "Vertigo" etc- which has caused some confusion latterly.

    It's like Michael Keaton is really Michael Douglas, but as there's
    Already a Michael Douglas. He had to change his name. ;)

    This is great news and all, but I hope that Anthony Horowitz can reach up to Fleming's classic works of great spy novels. Hopefully this new novel will be a fantastic addition to the franchise. :s :))

    Horowitz when asked about a female James Bond, quickly answered that she
    Already existed as " Modesty Blaise " ;)

    That's a great answer and I'm sure it's also one that will keep those who jump on the Bond bandwagon every time a Bond film is coming out scratching their heads! :)) -{

    Great to hear the fabulous Modesty Blaise getting a mention. Whatever happened to Tarentino's plan to bring her to the big screen?
    Perhaps their will be more news about Horowitz's novel tomorrow - he is scheduled to do a reading from it!
