Or Bond taking out half the universe with a PPK while 1,000 henchmen in jump suits can't "spray and pray" him with machine guns... or Bond pulling out a "concealed" P99 that doesn't print under his tight tux jacket! :)

There has been a lot of technical expertise/ theories, ect on why ganstas like to shoot their guns side ways, its very simple really its because, they are all WA*KERS.
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

A big thank you to sniperuk for haring these photos and some shooting range tales. I got to shoot a friends AR 15(basically the semi-auto only cousin to the military M16 rifle.) during the summer of 2011. I would like to eventually own a real Blued Steel Walther PPK or PPK/S in 7.65mm (.32 ACP in the United States) and a first generation Walther P99 in 9mm as well. In the meantime, I own airsoft versions of these and I love to shoot them in my basement for fun.

Sniper, Nice collection. What's the manufacturer date on your PPK?

Serial number puts it around 59-61, never issued or used until I got it a couple of years back.

Speaking of gangsters and sideways shooting… we had a homicide years back over in one of our housing projects where the shooter was in the passenger seat of a car.. his "targets" were on the driver's side.. So being the genius he was he leaned out the window on his side and in full gangster grip, fired sideways over the roof as they sped by.. only to drop an errant round through the roof and nail the driver in the side of his head.. Car smashed into a parked car messing him up pretty good too…. Gangsters apparently don't train well or often.. 8-)

Not quite as good as the muppets who decided to fire an RPG7 fom the inside of the car with only the window they were firing out of open :s :v

Nice. I have collected some documents with proof mark information on PPKs I can post a PDF of if you'd be interested.

Haven't laughed so much in ages when I first heard about this, It was at Aldergrove and they pulled up outside the chain link fence and took aim at one of our C130 Hercs on the pan. Mistake one was, as you say, not opening the opposite window, although I think they would still have been pretty well burnt if they had. Second mistake was not understanding the RPG round arming/firing mechanism, basically it either detonates on impact or after a predetermined flight time. So guess what happened whilst they were BBQing nicely in their car, the round detonated against the fence. I believe the Herc got airborne on time. :v
