ISIS ? are you Crazy, typing that into a search engine ! :)) MI5 will be calling. :D

Not one of his best Books, has a few moments as always but I can't understand why Bond seems to
get so friendly with a stupid Hood ?

His later books did feel a bit "Similar" infact, I sometimes get them mixed up in my mind. ;)
with many similar characters and plots.

As far as the covers go, I do like how for the Hadrback covers they continued the "Fleming" style of artwork.

    :)) Sadly I don't have cold. :# ( apart from the paperback)

I don't have the hardback of Cold either and I feel that the price would be prohibitive. :#

COLD had a limited Print in Hardback, hence the stupid Money it normally goes for in eBay.

There was only about 900 copies printed in hardback - which something like 500 went as library copies - which leaves 400 genuine first editions...

The Richie Fahey covers that Penguin published in the early 2000s were very nice, I have the UK set that was printed a few years later with those covers.

My favourite paperback covers are the earlier Pan ones with painted artworks, especially those by Sam Peffer.
I also really like the later Raymond Hawkey designed series.

The ultimate covers though are the first editions with artwork by Richard Chopping.

    I agree on every count:
    1) Jonathan Cape UK First Editions (especially the Chopping Covers)
2)Raymond Hawkey for PAN - ground breaking designs (also loved his Deighton covers).
3)Richard Fahey for Penguin - great retro covers.

Yes, Moore's image appeared on the Gardner Bond covers in some of the foreign editions too. :D

This is a Dutch set, got one myself and it's really nice. It's just that the front of the individual books themselves is a bit boring. A new set which one is absolutely stunning, is the Folio Society collection. Right now it only includes CR and FRWL. I'm hoping for more soon!
