Any interesting inscriptions in your James Bond Novels (and Books)?

I don't have any on mine but you just might. If you have any interesting inscriptions in your Bond books aside from the usual name and date of a previous owner, then please share them with us in this thread!

This can be in any one of the James Bond novels, either the Fleming originals or any of the Continuation novels. Books on the literary Bond can also be included here too.

I look forward to hearing from anyone that this thread applies to, as always! :) -{

I actually pulled my Jonathan Capes from the shelf, which is a chore because I have so many other Bond stuff on and around them. Surprisingly and not surprisingly, none of them have any inscriptions and all of them have some kind of library marking or index card pocket...I never really noticed before!

I inherited the Flemings from my grandfather, who signed his name (which is the same as mine, except he was known as Charlie while I'm called Chas) on some of them.

Thanks, chaps. I was fearing no-one would have any inscriptions! :))

Most of my Bond Novels are Reprints, so I'm the first Owner of them. The rest are original Copies, but they have no Library Inscriptions on them or anything like that :)

When I started collecting the Fleming novels I was a poor teenager and would often have competing demands on my meagre pocket money.
In Colne, where I grew up, was a scruffy and cluttered old book exchange where, tucked in a corner was a pile of old Pan editions of the Bond novels at 20p each.
I visited every week until I had my collection.

Sadly, I no longer have any of these old books but I do remember all sorts of inscriptions in the fronts. Birthday messages, declarations of love (did they last?), and names and addresses of the owners.

Nowadays such scribblings are rarely found but they always make that book something more of a treasure.

A good friend collected old postcards and sometimes more interesting than the picture were the messages written on the back.

My copy of the James Bond Bedside Companion has Raymond Benson's autograph. I ordered it years ago on Amazon and there was no mention of it at all. There it was on the front title page his signature in what looks like blue felt tip. Nice surprise.
Bond: "But who would want to kill me, sir?"
M: "Jealous husbands, outraged chefs, humiliated tailors . . . the list is endless."

I have a copy of "Goldfinger" signed and dedicated:

    To: Erno,
With love - and thanks for lending me your name even if I do hate your ugly buildings,
    Ian xxx

....okay, so maybe I don't, but in my dreams... :D

I remember getting an old Clive Barker horror novel, and whomever had it first
Wrote inside. " everyone's a psycho in this book !" :)) , so I knew it was going to
    Be good.

I have a copy of Carte Blanche that was signed by the author in both English and Dutch. I went to the Dutch book presentation and had a nice chat with Deaver when he signed both of the copies. It was cool because I had almost finished the Enlish version so we had a nice chat about the novel itself.

I also have a signed copy of both the English and Dutch version of My Word Is My Bond by Sir Roger. About the same story, I was invited to the Dutch book presentation and brought my English copy too. Sir Roger really took the time to ask about what I thought of the book and to discuss his UNICEF work.
