I've personally always been an Atheist. This is mainly down to me growing up an Environment where Religion was not part of our Lives. That and all of the Issues that Religion has caused throughout History.

{[] yep!, even as a kid it just didn't make any sense to me, no logic to it.
I remember being asked by a Christian friend how I was going to bring
Up my kids without Religion. :D
I pointed out that I did have morals, I don't go round killing and stealing, not
Because of a set of laws in a book but because I'm a decent guy. :p I did point
Out to him ( as a joke) that the only thing stopping him from going out, killing,
Stealing, sexually abusing people was because he was frightened of going to
Hell. :)) So I was actually a better person because I didn't have to be blackmailed
Into doing the right thing ! :))

I've personally always been an Atheist. This is mainly down to me growing up an Environment where Religion was not part of our Lives. That and all of the Issues that Religion has caused throughout History.

In my opinion those "issues" were caused by fanatism and intolerance, something that comes in many forms. One of the things the last 100 years should have thought us is that a peron or a country doesn't need religion to be cruel or intolerant. 21/2 of the three worst regimes in the 20th century were atheist (The Nazi's were occultist and often anti-church, Maoist China and Stalinist Soviet Union were die-hard atheists)

countries ? Something the rest of us either don't know or would be
    Shocked to learn. :))

Sadly they've stopped publishing The Dandy. Stopped collecting them at the age of 18.

Sadly they've stopped publishing The Dandy. Stopped collecting them at the age of 18.

I used to love all those comics ,"The beano," "The Dandy" and the Beezer, good honest clean fun all for 2pence each .
We, my Sister and I ,would get 6 d a week that's 2 1/2 p in todays money :)) but you could get a comic and some sweets ,and still have a penny left over . I always remember ,if a comic kid ie Ginger ,or the Bash street kids ,did well they always ended up at the Ritz ,for a slap up meal (a pile )of sausages and mash ,still one of my favourite dinners :D Great days , but now todays kids want guns ,zombies ,sex, cars ,this is why the likes of the Dandy shut down , I bet no kid today of a comparable age ,(when I was a kid ,
could build a camp ,or a tree house ,make a bow and arrow, make a fire even ,old Ray Mears has nothing on me. :)) We was doing that stuff ,when we was 10 ,

Did you get free toys with some issues? They used sellotape to stick them ti the comic. Had to be very careful removing the toy to avoid tearing the comic.

Both the Beano and Dandy use to give away free Sweets with nearly every Issue.

And the Sellotape was irritating :))

My favourite toy as a YOUNG kid was my ThingMaker. It heated up goop and turned it into rubber in whatever mold you picked. I did SO many little Supermans and even put wire in the molds so they were pose-able. :D
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

I spent a lot of time in my father's well-equiped workshop. We made cars, rifles, bow and arrow etc. It was both fun and educational. My father is a very skilled hobby carpenter. This weekend my visited my sister's family. I asked him over the phone what what they had been up to: "Well, yesterday I made a bench for their garden and some other small jobs ..." :D
