Any of you guys tried on a Nautilus?

Out of my league since crazy money but lately I've become very attracted to this 5712 (the 5711 is a bit plain jane for me)

Might have to try one in the summer when back in London

    Photo nicked from google BTW

I also love the 5712 Nautilus, tried them several times.

    What keeps me off is

    1. The bezel is a scratch magnet and would drive me as crazy as a Royal Oak Steel bezel
    2. The 240 movement is pretty, but there is one Micro-Rotor Movement which is superior: Lange!!!

If i ever spend Nautilus money on a watch, it will be a Datograph.

And wanted to add: You can have similar prestige (not really..) and similar functions for 35% Nautilus price: These are really cheap 2nd hand:

    Tried on the 5711, 5712, 5726 & 5980.

Blue dial 5711 still my favourite, followed by the grey dial 5726. Lovely movement in the 5712, but the asymmetry of the dial puts me off.

Will I ever get a 5711?......a tough call, when already owning an AP 15202. But the 5711 definitely has a more comfortable bracelet.

Well its out of my league (unless I flogged 4 watches) but will def try one on when next over to see if its a Internet thing or real love :x :D !!!!!

I guess its up there with the Daytona when it comes to bezel scratches!!

What do you make of the bracelet? I see some people call it "flimsy"

Not too keen on that AP!!

The 5726 would be the perfect one for my eyes if the dial was in blue (believe only in TT). The Chrono is nice but wow - ££££

The Nautilus bracelet is nothing flimsy!

From the top off my head , it's by far the best metal bracelet that money can buy!

The finishing on the Patek bracelet, makes a Rolex one seem cheap!

But yes, it is a lot thinner and more delicate than an Oyster, but not flimsy.

I guess forum people see light / thin = flimsy!!!!

Oh well will see for myself - I guess these are all readily about in ADs around London to see except the in demand 5711??

:v but if you'll need a new one from Patek, you'll pay Rolex money.

I don't speak of Rolex BRACELET money, it's Rolex WATCH Money :D

I'm not sure the 5712 is readily available, but you're more likely to find one than a blue dial 5711.

My pride and joy of my Skyfall Edition Planet Ocean with a newly official NATO strap fitted at Omega Boutique at Regent St, London...

Which size NATO did you get for your PO? And is it a 42 or 45mm PO? It looks great and I'm thinking of getting one for my 42mm PO.

    Thanks.

Very disappointed to see it was not signed by Gert Frobe or Harold Sakata! :(

None the less it is still a real bargain as that has to be an original 64 quad signed by the Great Man himself? :D

    I saw this outside Sotheby's in the Middle East last week and thought I'd share it with you - struck me as the kind of Rolex which Bond would have worn a few years back. -{

For those of us without the funds to spare on a Rolex Milsub, there is an excellent, cheaper alternative...
