I've given up on expensive shoes as I seem to have cheap feet.
Bought these from Jermyn St this year, spent an age in the shop trying to decide between the 7 (my usual shoe size) and a 6.5; went with the 7's but have barely worn them as I get blisters on my heels every time I do.....I think I have narrow heels and wide forefeet (hobbit like may be?). They have been worn for a total of perhaps 10 times (if that) and have always been stored with shoe trees in their bags so are absolutely immaculate. I have tried chiropody felt and heel pads in them with no luck - there is some discolouration from these in inside the heels but it's cosmetic (and frankly once you're wearing them you can't see inside them....). They have a second set of C&J leather insoles which the shop supplied (very thin, easily removed or kept in as needed).

(I found the 6 1/2 were my size - getting plenty of wear now I've found my size!)
