tonight whilst sitting in the local kebab shop waiting for my lamb shish to be done ,I picked up the Sunday newspaper ,
in it ,one of the writers Rod something or other, was basically word for word going on about the smelly Romainian gypos pissing up the 7/7 Hyde park monument ,that I wrote about on yesterdays rant box (I thought that was weird)

No doubt that was Rod Liddle. :))

Oddly enough, it's happened to me a few times, I've been
absent mindedly mulling over some theory or other and
Blow me, if Prof Stephen Hawking, doesn't beat me to it. ;)

    They missed both times :))
One year they fired their guns six times! I don't know what the reason why Norway turne into the wild west that year, or indeed if the police hit anyone .....

Yes, this out of control shooting must stop :v
  • ThunderpussyThunderpussy Behind you !Posts: 63,792MI6 Agent
:)) Might be the Norwegian cops are either better trained or More restrained in
their actions. I do feel in America, "to shoot" is the first course of action, rather
    than the Last. ;)

Moose and police usually clash over trafic violations. I remember one tme my father ran his car into a deer. I phoned the police and they contacted a local hunter who came and took the animal out of it's missery. Moose are worse. They are very heavy and most of their body mass is at windshield height. Only a few days ago some young people crashed into a moose and two of the passengers died.

(you didn't expect a serious reply to that post, did you? :o )

I would have been disappointed if you had, Number24!

I know moose cause terrible problems for motorists in Canada too for the very reasons you suggest. Newfoundland is particularly bad. I remember reading about a whistle that drivers - especially truck drivers - attach to their vehicles that emits a high-pitched sound as the air rushes through it and which is supposed to drive moose away.

Down here in Surrey, we get a lot of Deer that try to cross the Motorways. They normally end up getting run over :(

In the mountains of Dovre there are some musk oxes. They sometimes challenge the train in head to head combat. Sadly, but not surprisingly, they tend to lose. :#
