we always sit in the galleria at our cinema ,it cost £40 for 2 instead of a tenner down stairs ,but then you get free nibbles/coffee in your own lounge (no kids) and you can take a beer or champagne,or what ever you want in with you ,and sit in a sumptuous deep leather seat with loads of leg room ,plus you don't get to sit next to some smelly kid eating a dog and dripping ketchup over me Ryder 3s :D
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

I remember on holiday years ago sneaking 3 time of beer into the cinema
In a pair of baggy cargo shorts. I laughed so much, the film still has a special
Meaning for me ( The naked gun 2) :D

A full listing of the screening at Westfield, Stratford, London:

See the Best of Bond back on the big screen at Vue digitally remastered in Sony 4K with exclusive Double Bills of James Bond classics. 10 films covering 5 Bonds over 5 nights from Dr. No to Skyfall.

Sunday 14th June – Sean Connery – Dr. No & Goldfinger
Sunday 21st June – Roger Moore – Live and Let Die & The Spy Who Loved Me
Sunday 28th June – Timothy Dalton – The Living Daylights & License to Kill
Sunday 5th July – Pierce Brosnan – Goldeneye & The World is Not Enough
Sunday 12th July – Daniel Craig – Casino Royale & Skyfall

I went with a relative to see the Roger Moore films and sat up front (2nd row)to get the BIG SCREEN effect.
It was great to see everything close-up and not TV size.
The LALDie crocs and speedboat chase and the TSWLMe ski jump off the cliff with union jack parachute and white Lotus
off the pier into the sea. Great speedy filming of helicopter harassing the Esprit.
It was for 4 hours which meant 2 loo breaks-and the cinema was half-full.

I'll skip Tim and see Pierce and Daniel on Sundays 4 and 5.

    Bleuville.

For the 5th and final (?) Sunday afternoon double-bills, I dragged the 8 yr old great-nephew along to see Casino Royale and Skyfall
together for 4 hours on the big screen-sat at the front looking up.
It must've been the 7th time I've seen both films, and it confirmed for me the DC film order. That Casino Royale is best then Skyfall then QOS miles behind. In CR Bond ruins a few shirts and suits first by blood and then sitting in the shower with Eva Green (well someone's got to do it !). Actually that scene with the tearful Vesper makes me cry too. Such good emotional acting.

Bleuville. Vesper - "There are Dinner Suits and Dinner Suits. This is the latter."

That's one of my pet hates when it comes to Cinemas :#

I know it's a cultural tradition, but I never understood eating in cinemas. Rustling and crunching distract from a movie's sound design. My philosophy is eat before or after going to the cinema.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.
