Bond Cars For Everyone

While most of us dream of owning an Aston Martin DB5 it occurred to me the other day that some vehicles which James Bond has driven over the years or are associated with the films remain well within the financial reach of the 'common man'.

Triumph Stag, as an affordable Bond car ( DAF) . as they put it
" Affordable but not Reliable " )
As I drive like a Maniac )
In TB Bond gets a lift to his hotel in a Morris Minor, a great old
Classic, Lovejoy had one too -{
Hence my saying "or are associated with the films". The Bond 2cv was quite popular in its day (bullet holes & 007 logo).
I think a skyfall defender would be a good starting point.
Perhaps I'm just confused what you are pointing out? ?:) The Bond cars that people dream of owning are the actual Bond cars. Bond has driven many cars from cheap to expensive, but I wouldn't consider the 2CV a Bond car. To me the Bond cars are cars that Bond owns or is provided by Q-Branch especially for him. The only affordable real Bond car is the BMW Z3. I remember when people were freaking out after Ford announced Bond was going to drive the new Mondeo in CR. People forgot about all the ordinary rental cars and stolen cars Bond previously drove.
I love the Defenders, but it's very risky to own one in the United States. The police have been going after them! The closest thing we can get is an overpriced luxury version of the G-wagen.
even when it's on a car.
Out of interest why is that (Land rovers account for 90% of all vehicles where I live)
This year is the final batch of them - end of an era
The Lotus Esprit S1 is also affordable but perhaps not as practical as the BMW for daily use. Here's an example (wrong colour though)

Very interesting! It looks like a stubby Ferrari. The back-end looks like some Ferraris from the 60s, but also has a similar shape to the DB6.
I have driven the MG GT & can report that it is quite a fun car.

Then I saw a fully restored one for sale for £50,000!

To me it looks vaguely 'Bondian'.

Ford Fusion or Ford Fiesta? Maybe a Ford Focus? I know it's a Ford of some kind.
ive often thought that myself , rear spoiler rear wider arches bigger alloys ,hood bulge ,??
could be worse
This is my little run about ( we don't do much driving) only mine is red, and I
Think this is an absolute double for an Aston Martin DBS. ( in my mind) )
Here's the 407 again. Compare the two photos. As mentioned by AS a little cosmetic work here & there & you'd have a passable cheap Bond type car.
