Before I became fan, I had only watched snippets from the different films (mostly Moore and some Connery) and found them silly. The Austin Powers films only further cemented this. It wasn't until watching "Skyfall" on HBO in 2013 that I became a fan and then started to appreciate the character as well as what the different films had to offer.
The Daniel Craig films are still the only installments I really like. However I want to revisit the other Bonds and possibly reconsider my position. In fact, tonight I'm thinking of watching one of the Dalton films or possibly "Thunderball."
I had seen the paperback novels before Doctor No the film came out, but paid no attention to them. The came the film, so I bought the paperback Doctor No and read it before I saw the film. I was hooked. As do so many, I have the novels and love them all. The films, not so much.
