James Bond's Literary Meals

I have been reading this site without registering for sometime and found it highly entertaining and stimulating. I thought I would contribute something that is hopefully of interest to fans of the literary Bond. Reading the Mail Online yesterday there was an article on a set of photographs by Henry Hargreaves entitled Dying to Eat. In collabration with Charlotte Omnes, Henry has created and photographed a meal from each of the Bond Novels, alongside the text from each novel. The first photo is based on Casino Royale - showing the "rognons de veau " on which Bond dined with Vesper after the long night at the Casino. We get the stone crabs from Goldfinger, Little Neck Clams and Fried Chicken from Live and Let Die and so on. The photos are great. if you like food and James Bond novels, well worth a look. I think my personal favourite is the Eggs Benedict from The Man with the Golden Gun. Anybody else have a favourite literary Bond Meal ?

I was a bit disappointed they never did the basic Fleming Scrambled Egg Dish which is my fave Bond dish (I'm a scrambled egg freak) and the recipe is revealed by Fleming.

    Love Eggs Benedict mind!!

Check out the photo linked to 'The Spy Who Loved Me'. (Fleming gave me, too, a taste for scrambled egg, bacon, toast, black coffee and pints of orange juice!)
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

Very nice. I'd be quite keen to dine on the offerings from Live And Let Die, Thunderball, Diamonds Are Forever and The Man With The Golden Gun, myself.
