Also I think the dark atmosphere in QoS suits Craig's 007 well.

A shame Greene is such an unmemorable villain. LeChiffre easily eats him for breakfast.

Odd how I can prefer a Bond movie to another, and yet prefer the villain in the opposite movie. But that sort of stuff can happen with Bond films.

Ok so my previous comments were perhaps a bit childish and even naive. Having just watched this again, I did enjoy it a bit more than I expected. There are some beautiful sweeping and establishing shots and score, while not Bondian enough, is quite a good one.

I still stand by the commonly held broken record opinions that the action cuts are way too quick and the script does resemble CR in depth, but needed a polish.

I cannot forgive that horrible "skyfall".

Despite enjoying it a little more this time, it still places last on my list, and it's due to the lack of "Bond moments". I debated putting this or TWINE in last, but at least TWINE has the PTS

The film is indeed cut too quickly in some of the action stuff, and I don't really like some of the title cards (but at least they're gone quickly enough).

However, I still prefer this to CR because if I had to choose which one to watch again, I'd pick this one.

But we're just expressing opinions and personal tastes here.

My big gripe with this one remains that it's rushed - every scene of it, every edit, every moment. So many moments should have been allowed more beats to breathe and expand. That said, I enjoy it more than 70% of people on this site, surely, and admire the ambition of Marc Forster's endeavor. I think that the final fight between Bond and Dominic Greene happens in a very Ken Adam-like set, which makes me smile every time I see it.

Flawed, yes, but a noble go. An able sequel to CR and an underrated, unjustly slagged entry, IMO.

I agree 90%! But this movie has an amazing re-watchable quality for me! It's my most watched Bond of this Century. -{

Well, it's the shortest film in franchise history, so it's easier in that respect. It's not like OHMSS or CR, for which you have to deliberately set aside a block of time

The difference between an hour & a half or 2hrs & a half mean nothing to me at the end of the night- QOS is just a better watch for me than DAD, CR or SF.

There's a lot to love about QOS if you can consciously upgrade your visual acuity to acclimate to the fast edits.

In terms of the action scenes, I've upgrade my VA for the car chase at the beginning but that's it. Arnold's score during it is fantastic too, I can pretty much hum the whole thing from memory

"Another Way to Die" isn't the greatest Bond song by any stretch, but I don't think it's terrible.

I don't mind the tune/instrumentals which is quite Bondian in parts especially the opening bit, it's the damn lyrics that screw it up.

I don't mind the lyrics at all- it's the woah oh a oh oh oh that makes me cringe.
