    Like that others don't: Moonraker. The cinematography, the scale, the score. It's an incredible achievement from the team and the special effects are extremely well done. The movie's fun, enjoyable and full of suspense.

    While most people give reasons as to why they don't like this film - too many spoof elements and Bond being in space - I can agree that the pigeon double-take is as bad as the whistle on the car roll in TMWTGG. I don't agree with the space point at all. While it is "out-there" in the context of Bond being strictly on the ground, it's not out there in the context of Bond-films doing farfetched things. The whole concept of Bond is unrealistic in itself. At the time, space stuff was in vogue and Brocolli's vision was to create movies that matched public sentiment with relevance - and space was. If they didn't do this, would the movie have picked up as many new fans? Would a non-space film be deemed as boring? Moonraker's success was not matched until Goldeneye, people certainly "bought" it.

    Octopussy would be a close 2nd too.

    Dislike that others like: From Russia With Love, I understand why people like it , but I've never felt any great affection for anything that happens in it. Just doesn't stick for me.

    The difference between MR and FRWL is that MR focuses on, as you pointed out, the scale, cinematography, action. Whereas FRWL puts the focus squarely on Bond, much like in DN. I do like both for polar opposite reasons but MR is mid rank while FRWL is top 5

    Strangely enough, although I agree with just about every one of your points here, I still find myself in synch with Loeffs. I'd take NSNA over any of Moore's Bond films. I guess you can chalk it up to my steadfast admiration for Connery's portrayal of 007 - even in NSNA he stands head and shoulders above the rest.

    I second that. Despite its demerits, Connery's return makes NSNA a pretty darn good time. Moore is a great Bond in his own right, and deserves due credit for making the part his own, but watching OP and NSNA side by side reminds one who really owns the part between the two -{

    I don't share that opinion in NSNA. Despite some of the silly things in OP like the Tarzan yell and gorilla suit, Moore plays Bond more seriously in OP than Connery does in NSNA. Connery's Bond in NSNA is borders on parody of his previous days as Bond and I can't take him seriously at all in it like I can in his first five Bond films.

    I think it's a bit of a stretch to call Connery's performance in NSNA a "parody" of his previous days as Bond. In fact, I'd say he gives a much more earnest performance than he does in YOLT or DAF (though I do think his performance in DAF is underrated and not nearly as phoned-in as people tend to think).

    Count me in as a NSNA supporter- mainly for nostalgic reasons. I was just getting into Bond when my folks took me to see OP and I found out Sean would be back later that year. Back then it was pretty cool to see him back when you only had Roger to comapre to (poor George was mostly dismissed then). So both OP and NSNA I rank fairly highly... as well as AVTAK. I actually LIKE Sir Rog being in his late 50s in View. Probably because it's one of the main criticisms. When I was a kid no one cared.
    As far as ones I'm not too fond of, I like all the films really, but lately feel the later ones are a bit overrated. CR, for example. As much as I like Craig in the part there, somehow it doesn't hold up as well, or not as much fun to watch repeatedly. That goes for most of the post Cubby films.

    I'll come to the defence of NSNA here. The second incarnation of Largo (Brandauer) was satisfyingly different here, if they had played him similar to Adolfo Celi then it was have felt too similar to TB. He is wonderfully slimy but with a very real and believable menace (the way he laughs to Domino before the "then I cut your throat" line for example). The scene with him watching Domino through the two way mirror is a nice seedy scene too, it was clever how they characterised him as almost a playboy sort of villain and he kind of almost acts as a Dominic Greene character in his demeanour but 25 years earlier (and done better). Its still basically bottom of my list because of the general dullness of the film and Connery looking incredibly lost but there are definitely upsides as well.

    Movie I like that others hate:
    Die Another Day. Lots of nostalgia for me, first 007 film I saw in a theatre. It was just so larger than life! Plus the bullet came right at me!!!! LOL Beautiful scenes. Great music. Predictable double agent. Bond tortured for months, but never lost any weight. LOL. Ice palace. A great over-the-top fantasy Bond film.

    Movie I hate but others like:
    Any Roger Moore film. There is just too much 'camp' in these 70's and 80's Bond movies. I grew up in the 70's and 80's, so I know a lot of TV shows and movies had campy elements in them and that's just the way it was, but.... ugh... the Tarzan yell. WHY???????? The worthwhile entries are LALD, TMWTGG and TSWLM. Although MR grows on you the more you watch it. I was soooo disappointed with Moonraker when I first saw it, but now... it's borderline OK.

    There is only one movie that I have seen only once. And that is Octopussy. I watched it, I hated it. I'm still not ready to give it a second chance. I watched it 15 years ago..... just not ready to see it again.

    That said, the worst Bond movie is one star ahead of any normal movie.

    Moonraker and Diamonds are two of my all time favorite movies. Once I finally got the internet way back when, I was disturbed to find most people hated them. I also liked the Timmy movies back when it wasn't cool to like them.

    Goldeneye is not my favorite. Something about it never set well with me. It could be the music.

    The 2 films I really love that other seem to dislike are Thunderball and Die Another Day.

    I do think some of the underwater scenes in Thunderball slow the pace right down but I felt it was the last Stellar performance by Sean Connery in the role and the exotic locations and lavish score by John Barry just make it so appealing to me. It is a little overlong in places but I still find it to the the 2nd best Connery flick (behind Goldfinger)
    Die Another Day is without a doubt one of the messiest and inconsistent films in the series but it's undeniably one of the most entertaining. The story (although totally absurd) is much easier to follow that most and the action scenes are for the most part 10/10. Sure, the dodgy CGI and campy lines push it a little to far in the wrong direction but it's still so much fun and one which I always stick up for. Plus Brozzer is always Top Notch.

    The only film I really dislike more than most is TSWLM.

    I agree that it does have some real classic Bond ingredients like the amazing PTS, The villains lair and the unforgettable Jaws but other than that I find it a bit of a drag with the Lotus Submergible chase the only real action scene I love. Stromberg is a weak villain and Anya is pretty darn dull. I'd MUCH rather watch LALD or FYEO as I feel they're more enjoyable Moore outings :D

    I'm starting to appreciate DAD more after all these dark Danny movies. It is a lot of fun. That sword fight was pretty cool. I had no idea there was so much hate for Thunderball, but I see it's problems. Like you said those underwater scenes are slow, but That John Barry score makes them tolerable.

    I can see how some have a problem with the underwater sequences, but
    There are loads of underwater sequences in the Book too. :D , The script
    to Thunderball is one of my favourites, very funny in places. -{
    The first half of DAD, is great ( in my opinion) it dips a little in quality in the
    second half, but I still find it some over the top fun . :)

    Tricky question because it seems every Bond film has it's fans. It is becoming more difficult to know which films are disliked (if any). I like them all.
    If I was choosing a film I probably like more than most other fans it would probably be LTK. I love it when the line between the light side of Bond gets blurred with the dark side and Dalton is excellent here. It sits comfortably in my top 5.

    Movies I like that other's dislike:
    A View To A Kill: Listen, I agree with almost all the criticism the movie gets, and the fact that it's a copy of Goldfinger's plot, but I love it. Roger Moore being too old to play adds a bit of "uniqueness" to the role and I think he does a great job despite the obvious stunt doubles. Also, I'll say it now, but everyone will hate me for it. I'm glad Mayday tops Bond. I would never want something similar in another Bond film, or any of them, but that scene just adds to the "weirdness" of the film, and I'm not one to enjoy most of Sir Roger Moore's Bond films. I love the villain, I love Bond, and I love this movie. It's just so strange it's fun.

    Movies that I dislike that other's like:

    SkyFall: I don't dislike the film, but I don't like it near as much as people praise it to be. Very much overrated.

    ThunderBall: I love Sean Connery, and this movie has a lot of fun scenes it.. but also a lot of.. strange ones. That spine stretching torture scene just makes me.. uncomfortable, for reasons. Sometimes the action is perfectly paced and fun, but for the majority of the film.. it's slow and boring.

    Movies I like that other's dislike:
    The Man with the Golden Gun: It's not in my top 10, but it really is not as bad as people make it out to be if you ask me. The plot was very intresting. I agree it feels like a 'small' Bond film. But come on! Christopher Lee! Great humor, a great Bond location on the island and overall an enjoyable watch!

    Movies I dislike that other's like:
    On Her Majesty's Secret Service: Posting this I already feel I need to appologize in advance, because I can see where everybody is coming from and I understand it's praise. And yes, it really is the most faithful adaptation of any of the Fleming novels, but that doesn't automatically make it one of the best Bond films too in my opinion. Lazenby is a major weak link to me, and him being dubbed throughout the majority of the movie doesn't help either. Also, the whole thing of Bond just banging all the women on Piz Gloria even though he's in a relationship with Tracy seemed so out of place an unnecessary for his mission. There's a lot more I have to say about it.. But this was the short version.

    For those feeling offended or curious why I seem to be among the few Bond fans on earth not to like this film, in this review I explained it all in in depth detail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3ta2yVDuPI

    I don't dislike any Bond film. However, below are the bottom 1/4th on my ranking. They are there because of comparison with other Bond films only. As Bond films, they are quite enjoyable :)

    Rank - Movie --> What I liked

    19. GE --> PTS, Ferrari-AM race, and the Tank Chase
    20. DAF --> Strong first half, Kitt and Wint's performances, and SC having fun
    21. AVTAK --> Zorin, and France and the Golden Gate sequences
    22. DAD --> Interesting 1st half - PTS, Sword fight, Bond in pyjamas entering the hotel in HK, etc.
    23. QoS --> Austria and Bolovia sequences
    24. TWINE --> PTS, Brosnan's performance, and Marceau was cool too
