I saw episode 2 of London Spy on the tivo box last night very good so far, Mr Wishsaw and Jim Broadbent are excellent in it.

I wonder if the staff in the SIS building get paranoid having all these film crews in proximity to their work? :D
Also pleased its shown after Only Connect and Uni Challenge as I have my puzzle hat on. (I record all three.)
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Starting to watch Torchwood series 3, and I'd forgotten how good this "special series" was. Very much
in the tradition of great British sci-fi , like Quatermass etc.
Showing having an interesting story and characters, you don't need loads of cgi or special effects
    a creepy story line can be far better. -{
( I bought it on google movies, and I'm just getting round to watching it )

    Netflix: Marvel's Jessica Jones

The must see show of the moment!

After Daredevil Netflix proves with Jessica Jones to become a haven for fans of comic characters adapted for TV.

Thanks, TP. I just watched that on C4 +1. It reminded me of the MR novel with Hitler's plan to destroy London and the film AVTAK with the bomb that caused the underground earthquake.

Just Finished 'Hand of God' on Amazon prime with Ron Perlman.

Really enjoyed it but thought the end was a bit rushed.

Not often I laugh out loud at an advert but I thought I was
Watching a new version of the John Lewis advert ( old
Bloke on the Moon), but he started talking about liking
One Telescope more than another ? It was an advert by
Aldi ( ripping off the John Lewis one) :))

Has any one watched past the first episode? Undecided whether to carry on.

Well, I'm three episodes in, and I'm finding that the larger David Tennant's part gets, the more interesting it becomes. The good Doctor is now radiating absolute EVIL. Otherwise, the uber-noir approach does take some getting used to. . .this makes the world of DareDevil look like Disneyland!

    Anybody watched Scream?

I found those 10 episodes astonishingly original, gripping and there are surprisingly gory scenes in it for a TV show.
But then Wes Craven produced it and Kevin Williamson was involved in the scripts.

What I liked about it is that they didn't just use the same characters as in the movies, but they re-made them with different names and backgrounds. Gale, Dewey, Sidney they are there but in new forms.
Furthermore the series plays around with many iconic scenes from the movies, you expect something to happen and then you get totally surprised or even shocked. All is fair game.

Also there is one single death that really shocked me, it's a long time ago that a horror scene had such a great impact on me. I couldn't get it out of my head for days.

Sadly, Wes Craven has gone. May he rest in peace. He gave us a great lot of memorable, unique and visionary stuff.

    Thanks HB.

Think I'll wait until I'm struggling for things to watch. I've got a few things on the go at moment, so I'll keep it on the back burner for now.

I've seen the third season of "Broen" (The Bridge). This time Martin Rohde is in prison, so Saga has a new Danish partner. This season focuses more on Saga Noren, wich is is a good Thing, since she always was the most interesting part of the series. We really see her getting backstory and develop. Highly recomended!

I've just seen the two first episodes of "Deutchland'83". This German series is set in ..... you guessed it ... 1983. It's about the young Moritz who lives in East Germany and is sent to the West by Stasi to infiltrate the office of an army general. If you like the series "The Americans", you'll like this series too. Recomended!

There's an interesting documentary about Las Vegas presented by Trevor McDonald on ITV1 currently.
