    Goldfinger :
I agree it's great fun and was the template for the future films. It must have been
Shown on Christmas day in the UK for several years in a row :))
I think the producers knew it was an outlandish idea, so played it for entertainment.
The old lady firing the machine gun, I always thought was a nice nod to the characters
You'd find in a Hitchcock movie ( like the house keeper in North by Northwest). ;)
As I'm sure everyone knows, the Bomb stopping at 007, was originally set to stop at
    003. Setting up the " Few more clicks" line from Bond.

    Thunderball:
Yes, it's big over the top fun, It must have been a nightmare to film and edit. Like one of
those big 60s war movies, with hundreds of extras, and having to film underwater on that scale
    had never been attempted before.
I agree some great Bond girls, and another witty script, perhaps a bit more trimming of the
underwater sequences may have helped with pacing. Although still miles better than the remake
    with NSNA. :D

Agreed {[] some great lines as well as the odd visual joke
like when Fiona ( in the bath) asks Bond for something to wear
and he hands her a pair of shoes ! :))

YOLT: ( you'd think I had nothing better to do that sit watching these :D )
Firstly like Barbel " I loved the Connery Impression" :)) yes YOLT, is ridiculously
Over the top 60s fun, and the story can be picked apart for holes ( why I never
Bother, looking for faults) but the score is fantastic as are the sets and I love
Aki :x , genuinely saddened at her death.
Yes, It's a classic of its day and I agree much parodied over the years. So it
Definitely made a social impact on society. All you have to do now to act like
a villain is to pretend to stroke a cat. :D
Some little oddities, one shot of the original Blofeld remains in the film, the first
shot in the control room, just at the top of Blofeld's chair, you can just see a little hair.
Also for some of the swimming scenes of kissy, Connery's wife Diane Cilento did them. :)
    Very enjoyable. {[]

    OHMSS:
As with his story about him and his mate having a threesome with a lady, Like her
I too have to admire Mr Lazenby's Balls ;) to be able to Bluff your way into the
biggest male leading role in cinema, why that's something Bond would have done. :))
I love OHMSS ( My favourite Book and film) I'm even happy with good old George,
I think he did a great job, and who knows with another film or two he may have been great ?
Blofeld's plan was finished after Bond as he had the names, addresses, and photos of all the girls
so the equipment could be taken off them, and I'm sure government hypnotherapy specialists
would help " De-programme" them. Blofeld had admitted to sending a sample, from which an
    antidote would be made.
Yes the film begins in September, But Bond has to do all that research into genealogy and send
letters to arrange a meeting, so I'm sure that would take a while ?
I do agree Bond getting romantic with all the Ladies up there, is a bit at odds with him being " In
a Relationship" but I like to think that Bond regards this mission as his "Stag do" so any shagging
that happens at Piz Gloria, STAYS at Piz Gloria. :))
Now, Looking forward to DAF. :)

    Diamonds are Forever :
The first of the lighthearted almost comedy Bonds, Connery looks a lot heavier,
and nothing close to the tall, lean Connery of those early films. In fact he looks
Far older than he did in YOLT, ( he looked much better in NSNA).
Despite it's " Shabby chic " I do have a fondness for it, mainly down to its
wonderful script, plenty of laugh out loud lines, and Connery's delivery of them
    is perfect.
I agree Charles Gray is not the greatest Blofeld, although I blame the director, more
Than him, as he can play menacing characters very well, so I have no idea how
we got the " easy going, polite" Blofeld, except that, That's what he was told that
    Wanted.
Now I'll have withdrawal symptoms, waiting for the review of LALD. :D

I must just mention the guard who tries to remove Bond's gun during the PTS,
    What impressive sideburns ;)

Wow! I've been away for a couple of days but it's so good to come back seeing these thread has been quite active.
First off, thanks everyone for all this wonderful feedback! :)

Yes, I did actually thought about it! I even knew it was a Guy Hamilton refference, because he called everything he couldn't rapidly find the name for a Herchensheimer :P Don't know how I forgot that.
Now I'll have withdrawal symptoms, waiting for the review of LALD.

Haha :)) I'm looking forward to getting to that one! I cannot make them as rapidly as you're now watching them though! :))

But I can't wait to start on it! I once worked on something similar to these videos years ago (You could consider those the beta versions of these episodes.) Long story short, I had to take those videos down and I only got to do the first 7 back then. Years later I found a way to make it possible for YouTube to do reviews again and so I started a new updated series of Bond reviews from scratch which ultimately became these "Recapping 007" videos. So I never got to do LALD before, so I'm especially looking forward to this and this time finishing the whole series ! :)

Also TP, thanks for sharing your thoughts on every movie yourself in this video while also sharing what you thought about my video. To respond to some of the stuff you mentioned:

    - OHMSS: I have to say you've given me some intresting points in OHMSS that I never considered concerning the whole sceam of Blofeld.
    - YOLT: You're right about the oddities from Blofeld's continuity, the hair you can see in FRWL is because it's the actor that also played Prof. Dent in DN, I'm sure at that stage they hadn't even thought about making Blofeld bald yet.
    - Suprised to see you and Barbel like the Connery impression so much though! :)) I can never nail his voice properly for some reason. I can do a much better Roger Moore! :P
    - GF didn't know the old lady was actually a nod to hitchcock!

    Thanks for watching everyone ! -{

It's only my guess that the little old lady was a nod to Hitchcock. ;) I have
Been know to be wrong before !
    I didn't know the " Herchensheimer" story with Guy Hamilton. -{
    So I've got a new fact ! {[]

I do hope more here, look at your reviews, as I do think they are amongst the best.
There's no Bullcrap, you talk like a fan full of enthusiasm and in love with the films.

Oh yeah! Great to see you also saw that one :)) - That was back before I decided to dedicate my channel to Bond content only, as it is now.

Anyway. I'm currently working on the script for Episode #8 (Live and Let Die) and I'm now at the bit where I mention the absense of Desmond Llewelyn in it. However, I never really knew the real reason he wasn't in this one. Was it a contract issue? Did the filmmakers simply feel no need to ask him for this one? - I'm going to be honest in the video and mention I don't know the actual reason, unless someone here does know? ?:)

As far as I know, ( so please get this confirmed by someone more
expert than me ) he was doing a TV series called " Follyfoot" and
so wasn't available to do LALD.

True, but he managed to get time off from shooting that to do LALD then was told he wouldn't be needed, much to his frustration.

{[] Fun and entertaining as always.
LALD was the first Bond I can really remember seeing in the cinema ( I pestered one of my
    big brothers to take me)., already a fan of Sir River, I loved it. -{
Moore looks fantastic in it, I agree his clothes for his arrival in New York are Very stylish.
Lots of individual characters, an interesting Villain's plan and a kick ass boat chase, all
Impressive stuff for a nine year old. :D ( at that age Jane Seymour didn't interest me at all ) :))
I never even noticed the 007 motifs on the back of the tarot cards. I was probably too overwhelmed
By the Croc stunt and everything else happening. I remember finding Tee Hee to be very scary and
Mr Big a very cool Villain.
I agree his death is really not fitting for such a good Villain, a fight with him falling in to his sharks
would have been better. Although Yalphet Kotto couldn't swim and had to have weights put in to his
    clothes to film the last scene. So he's a very brave man. -{

Never knew about Yaphet Kotto being unable to swim! You learn some new trivia everyday! :D
In my comments on this episode I've also received some insightful knowledge from fellow fans on different things. (Like there being a fat southern sherrif craze, and why the funeral people start dancing in New orleans etc...)

Glad you enjoyed once again TP ! :)

I think the dancing, is a way of Celebrating someone's life, as you'd have done your crying
for their passing, and yes there were a lot of red neck sheriffs in the 70s. :D
MooseWithFleas posted a wonderful Interview with Yalphet, which was very funny. as he
mentions, seeing a play on the bbc which obviously had some nudity in it. Which amazed him
and on set the next day he kept asking people if they'd seen it as nothing like that was ( for 1972)
    allowed on American tv. :))

Watching OHMSS again ( so many times) :D but have only just noticed something odd, at the end of the
movie . .................. Is Bond driving on the wrong side of the road ?

He's driving on the left ( normal for a car in the UK) then waves on a following car to overtake him on the
Right ? ( at a very bad, blind right turn by the way ). All fine for the UK, but isn't he in Portugal ? So shouldn't he
Be Driving on the right and waving cars on to overtake him on the left ? I notice even Blofeld's car is also a
    right hand drive model.
It's funny what you pick up on after a few hundred viewings ! :D

I don't know if I'm right, I was just thinking today that it was a very
Dangerous piece of road for Bond to be waving someone to pass. :D
Then it struck me, he was on the wrong side. Intact on holiday in
Portugal I did the tourist thing of trying to get into the drivers door, as
In the UK, that would be the passengers door. :)) The taxi driver did give
Me the international look for " Stupid Tourist !" :))
