My two favourite bond films are the 2 lowest grossing ones.

DAF is my favourite Connery movie.

GF and CR are in my bottom 4.

Roger Moore is probably my favourite bond.

John Glen is my favourite bond director.

I prefer QOS to CR (Albeit not by that much).

I prefer Stacey Sutton and Mary Goodnight to Anya Amasova.

For me, it's probably that I don't really care about Ian Fleming or the literary Bond. I've never read the books and I doubt I ever will. I don't think it matters what Fleming's intentions for the character were because it's outlived him and become much bigger than him. I notice that the "appeal to Fleming" is a common rhetorical device in Bond discussions, but I think it's irrelevant and meaningless.

And Pierce Brosnan is my favorite Bond actor. I don't rank him #1 overall, because he doesn't have enough strong Bond movies under his belt and often wasn't well-utilized in the role, but he is my favorite.

I've also never really loved Sean Connery as Bond, and I wonder if his reputation would be as great as it is if he wasn't the first actor to take on the role.

I think Sam Mendes is the best thing Bond has going for it right now. SF and SP are probably the best-shot and best-directed films of the entire series, they bring a level of visual polish and visual storytelling to the franchise that hasn't really been a part of it before.

I agree with this. I don't think Fleming's Bond is as relevant to the films as many here mention. I see Fleming's Bond, Connery's Bond and Craig's Bond as separate and all very different from each other.

I agree with this and also love Moonraker's theme tune.... erm 'Moonraker'.
Whilst 'Another Way to Die' is my least favourite theme song, next on the list would be TMWTGG. Ironically I do like TMWTGG (jazz instrumental).
Maybe it's the lyrics combined with Lulu herself. I can't stand her song 'Shout'...... WEEEEEELLLLLLLL!!!!!!! Oh shut up Lulu.

I like anything by John Barry, though I think it works a lot better within the score than it does with vocals. The Man with the Golden Gun is a rare miss for Barry (and Black), but again it's still a great instrumental theme.

I have a rough time watching the 60's Bond films. I dig Dr. No and Goldfinger, but I find the rest fairly tedious. I'm also not a fan of the novels for FRWL or OHMSS so that's another setback for appreciating the 60's era.

Connery was a force to be reckoned with. Bond and beyond. As much as I love Tim & Pierce, they weren't and never could be that.
