Omar Sharif or Charles Gray?

Sorry if this is not the place for this question.

Can someone confirm whose is the voice in the Son et Lumiere show in TSWLM??

I understand that Omar Sharif did the recording and his voice is still used nowadays. But I've read recently (Some Kind of Hero) that Charles Gray made a voice cameo in that part in TSWLM...

Anyone? Thanks

Sorry can't confirm but I'd always read it was Charles Gray. :)

I've also heard/read several times about Charles Gray having done the voice, but I don't know for certain. I've just rewatched the scene, some bits of it sound very much like Charles Gray, particularly the part: "With each new dawn, I see the sun-god rise on the far bank of the nile" but the earlier section seemed to sound less like Charles Gray.

Charles Gray's IMDB doesn't list TSWLM, not even as uncredited.
Have you ever heard of the Emancipation Proclamation?"

Charles Gray has never been confirmed as that voice, which may be why it's not that. It's generally said that Charles Gray did it. I've never heard about Omar Sharif being involved.

The rumour about Charles Gray being involved in TSWLM has been going around for ages. Not sure when or how it started.

    Thanks everybody!

What I've read is that Gray did the "second part", so maybe you've got it...

Well I've never heard this Charles Gray claim until recently so I unfortunately can't confirm or deny the truth of it...

IMO it sounds like the late Valentine Dyall, who played the voice of Dr Noah in CR67 (before he's revealed to be Woody Allen). Mr Dyall was a famed radio voice from many years ago- for comparison, here he is reading a Poe tale: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fy3BijXNFDA

    Never heard the Charles Gray theory before - and I'd have never thought it was him...I much prefer Barbel's idea -{

    Interesting, never heard of him...

It doesn't sound like him I think: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxNyEUMewzg

I was always under the impression it is the actual recording that I used in the film? Doesn't sound like Gray to me.

To my ear it sounds like Charles Gray from 01.22 in that Youtube link, but the earlier section is someone else.

Very hard to tell. Doesn't sound quite like Charles Gray. Could be Valentine Dyall, though possibly not plummy enough for him.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.
