He's definitely a pretty boy, but he's also too muscular. That was a problem I had with him as Solo. Muscular guys don't look good in suits.
The muscular thing goes away pretty fast if it needs to. But during UNCLE he was right about to do the Supe-Bat thing.

If he remains Superman for a while (which seems likely, given the way Warner Bros is franchising the DC Comics universe), he'd be an even more muscular Bond than Craig in CR. Expanding and contracting can't be healthy!

On the other hand, if he wraps up Superman by the time Craig wraps Bond (assuming Craig does one or two more), it might be feasible. But there are a lot of moving parts in that equation.

And in a few years, the UNCLE film will be long forgotten, so I don't think that will get in the way.

I think it's forgotten already. In the UK it made little impact and disappeared very quickly.

It's very true it's highly unlikely he will be Superman, Solo and Bond. I'm just sayin, if there was a fair voting system (solely for Bond fans), to vote who would deserve the role after Craig, he would have my vote :)

Didn't Henry Cavill already do a screen test for Bond at the same time as DC? Seem to have read it in the Taschen Archive I think.......

I think they may need to do what they did when DC was cast - relative unknown but cast by people with a little vision for what he could do with the character.

By coincidence I'm a relative Unknown and can clear my schedule.......

Wes Bentley would be my choice. He's not British but if Brits can play Americans, I'm sure an American can play a Brit. :o

He's never played an iconic character that I'm aware of so it's not like he's tied to a franchise like Cavill as Superman.

Plus he looks good in a tux.

Nothing against Henry Cavill personally but I just can't see him as Bond, he's TOO slick and clean cut.

The Brosnan era was the same but he was also quite cheesy and comical .... a bit staged. I think the best thing that happened when they decided on Daniel Craig was to make Bond more relatable to the modern man, he could be a guy who was out there fighting some of these fights. Daniel Craig as an actor added grittiness, took Bond back to raw basics and made him believable.

The other issue I see with Henry Cavill is his fame from Superman even if he is finished with that franchise, he will still remind me of Superman and I'd sit there waiting for Bond to fire lasers out of his eyes instead of his watch or car. It just won't work for me personally.

I'm all for an unknown, I just don't know who as he is unknown :) and whoever it is, for me, must be English. American will not work.
