Yes - it's very good. Recently watched it in a double feature with The Walk, about the guy who wire-walked between the World Trade Center towers (also excellent!).

I have been in a it of a Superman mood recently, so I've watched all of them except MOS at least once.
I watched Superman II The Richard Donner Cut for the first time yesterday, and I will honestly say it's probably the best Superman film. And the scenes cut from Superman II and put back here look fantastic in HD on the Blu Ray.

I had been wanting to see this since reading the marketing speel from Rolex (They attached one on the outside of the sub)
Pretty good documentary but I kind of got the impression Cameron gets a bit too much credit for the whole project due to his status (I could be wrong here)
Never realised he married the bird from Titanic (not Winslet ) and boy does she look like she has had too much surgery!!!!!!! )
Last night I saw "Suffragette" at the cinema, and I was the only man there )
As the title suggests the movie is about the struggle for women's rights more than a hundred years a go. Meryl Streep has small, but important role as Emily Pankhurst, but Carey Mulligan plays the lead as a fictional "foot soldier" in the struggle. She does a fine job (everyone does), but it struck me that casting Emma Watson instead would have been a smart boxoffice move. Ben Wishaw and Helena Bonham Carter also have large roles. While the movie sometimes tipped into "worthy cause movie of the week", I enjoyed the movie. it showed how women were horribly oppressed back then and how Special Branch was used against the suffragettes. It also touched upon soem critical questions about the suffragettes: was Emily Pankhursts leadership too autoritarian? Even though they tried to avoid killing anyone, was tehir activities terrorism?
I don't know if this was discussed in your " Female propaganda" flick but
Emily Pankhursts didn't want votes for all women, only the wealthy, land
owing sort. Although rather than Terrorists , I'd say they were more
akin to civil disobedience. I like to think of myself as a modern man ....
...... It's a film about chicks, No explosions, car chases or complicated
fight sequences .................. so who cares. )

After some research it looks like you're right about Pankhurst not supporting universal sufferage for women. Shame on her and the movie, that very much gave the impression that she did support universal sufferage. I also agree terrorism is a too harsh word, even though they did use arson and explosives. While I don't mind a "female propaganda flick" or two, after all we get "Irish propaganda flicks" (The wind that moves the barley" etc), "black people's propaganda flicks ("Selma" etc) ... so why not women?
But more than anything I agree that even though the film did have explostions, lightly clad females, and a chase scene, "Sufferagette" was no Micheal Bay move
Much of the move is about the working class, but not very scantly clad

and found myself really Enjoying it. -{ some great fight sequences, no story to
speak off, but a great bit of popcorn movie fun.

My daughters were being noisy at the start so it took me about 15 minutes to get back up to speed (perhaps it's time I started using subtitles on my telly) and from then on I found it enjoyable. My wife thought it was "okay" which (I think) means she didn't really enjoy it. I'm unsure if Brosnan filmed this before or after TWINE.

Have avoided watching A Walk Among the Tombstones because I want to read the book first. I have read a few of the Matthew Scudder series and they have become a firm favourite with me - Eight Million Ways to Die and A Dance at the Slaughterhouse are both brilliant.

Death Wish 4:The Crackdown. The film has TMWTGG's Soon Tek-Oh playing a corrupt policeman in league with the bad guy. Not my favourite film of the franchise. That goes to Death Wish 2

One of my neighbors is a member of the Academy and gets numerous "For Your Consideration" DVDs each year, so every January my wife and I borrow them and binge-watch. Here are the most recent:
Spotlight - Brilliant ensemble cast portrays the Boston Globe's uncovering of the sexual abuse scandal in the Catholic Church. The movie is very matter-of-fact and focuses on the investigation, not the crimes themselves -- much like All The President's Men. Nonetheless, the nature of the crimes can't help but be part of the story, and there are some very uncomfortable scenes of victims being interviewed. Best film I have seen this season.
The Martian - Ridley Scott's rendering of an astronaut mistakenly abandoned alive on Mars. Shades of Cast Away, but much funnier and more upbeat. The whole thing is hokey beyond belief, but it was so uplifting I didn't care.
Steve Jobs - Michael Fassbender looks nothing like the actual guy, and many of the scenes never actually happened, but I absolutely loved this film. It's basically ten or so highly-entertaining long-form Aaron Sorkin arguments strung back-to-back, and for me it is Sorkin's best writing since The West Wing. Fassbender is astonishingly good (he is almost never off camera) and Kate Winslet may be even better. The two hours flew by, and I could have easily sat through two more.
Carol - Cate Blanchett and especially Rooney Mara are wonderful as a couple whose forbidden love in early 1950s New York City causes no shortage of stress. It reminded me of Brokeback Mountain for obvious reasons, but it's told in a much more low-key manner. My wife found it overly depressing, but I was quite touched. Not sure I need to see it again, but I'm glad I did.
The Big Short - Saw this in the theater actually. Wow, what a wild ride. If you ever want a gonzo film experience that teaches you about -- and makes you furious about -- the 2008 financial crisis, this is the film for you. Great acting across the board, with Steve Carell leading the way. By far the best breaking of the fourth wall I have ever seen in a film. A truly invigorating and spectacular experience.
As you can probably tell, this is the best group of films I can remember. Not a bad one in the bunch.

Quite nostalgic - Pretty funny, not sure how accurate it really all is but entertaining regardless.
