GoldenEye & Skyfall: Meta Bond Films?

I know the film's sometimes poke fun, but GE and SF are easily the most meta of all the Bond films, poking fun at some tropes of the series and making references to past films.

E.g:

GE - Alec pointing out where the button is on the watch - a joke about the Bond gadgets (and how the watch always contains a gadget)

SF - "We don't really go in for that anymore" - a joke towards the audience to acknowledge that this is a new Bond, not the same type of Bond before.

So would you consider these meta jokes? They're certainly the closest we've got to a meta Bond film and nearly breaking the fourth wall in a way that directly pokes fun at the series.

I think a handful of the movies have done that, like with Lazenby's "other fellow" line and more recently, the "one piece" quip made by Q about the DB5 in SP. Since there's a new thread about old code name theory, one thing will remain constant despite the reboots, is that there's some sort of awareness the characters have about the Bond world built up from DN. In CR, in their first encounter, Vesper dresses down Bond as if she's instinctively aware of Bond's reputation, perhaps to the audience, a reputation loaded with our knowledge of the Bond history. Another constant interplay is some other character alluding to Bond's shaken, not stirred vodka martini as if it's understood as common knowledge. Those things are the wonder behind popular fictional characters and if all of that were to be stripped to a realistic foundation, then we'd be left with the serious gray world like the one created by John Le Carre in his fictional intelligence community.

This was not a joke. Alec was showing his knowledge of being a former 00 agent because he used to wear a similar watch.

Spectre is self consciously aware and plays upon the Bond Mythos and tropes.

It's a joke that still makes sense in context.

Personally, I can't stand the part when Valentin calls Bond a charming, sophisticated secret agent. Shaken not stirred. And all his henchmen burst into laughter. A bit too meta for me. ;)
