See How They Run

How well (or not so well) do the Bond actors do the fleet-of-foot?
Connery: He runs powerfully if not amazingly well. Pretty fast for a man his size though.
Lazenby: Lanky with long legs help him a lot. Actually moves well & fast.
Moore: Ahhh, well, running isn't everything I guess. Stand your ground, Rog!
Dalton: See Lazenby above.
Brosnan: The Olympic sprinter of the Bond set. Nobody does it faster. Must be the rugby.
Craig: The definition of sheer stamina. He may not be the fastest Bond, but he's a juggernaut.

Opinions?
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

Interesting idea. Roger Moore is certainly out. Connery, Dalton and Brosnan all have fantastic runs for Bond. Lazenby doesn't run well on the beach. I understand running on the beach is difficult, but the way he flaps his arms simply doesn't look right. Craig is indeed a juggernaut, and to me that's not Bond.

Being a Mormon should have nothing to do with his running. :p

Brosnan, IMO, was probably the best runner :007)

Connery, Lazenby, Dalton and Brosnan all run quite well. Craig looks like he has taken lessons because it looks so robotic. Moore's run is fine... A gentleman doesn't need to run.

I think that it was the late Guy Hamilton who said that Roger Moore ran very badly and looked as if he had a brush shaft up his arse when he was running. I have to agree, as much as I love the Moore Bond. Hamilton also said that they tried not to show the Moore Bond running from behind too often as it looked comically strange. A good example of it is seen when Moore Bond escapes the men about to put him on board the plane in LALD to see what Hamilton was referring to! :))

Connery moves like a panther, I was watching tb again yesterday and still marvel at his swagger I have similar proportions to SC in that film, wish moved like that, as for Roger Moore I'll refer you all to the scene in tmwtgg when he escapes the karate school.
For me Daniel Craig runs just fine, he played rugby also and runs like a rugby union winger.

Well as a kid I used to emulate the way Brosnan ran as Bond. Had it down to a science.

With the slurred typing, looks like someone's on "LDS" :))

Don't remember if it was here, but I remember someone posting that Brosnan ran like a girl. I strongly disagree, but agree with a lot on this thread and will add that not only did he look fast, but he was also economical in his movement.

I also remember reading a post that said that Moore preferred using a stuntman for his running scenes.

I'd say Brosnan runs the best, with Dalton close behind.

I thought Brosnan had concerns about his running, much as Moore did about his.

He is good in the GE pts, I can't think of many other examples. In DAD rather oddly the camera is in front of him as he runs, is it in the ice scene? I thought it might be cos he strained a muscle and it had to be shot that way.

Brozzer runs a fair bit in twine, down in the bunker, and also at hq when he discovers his fingers fizzing if I remember correctly.
