It is a first for me to be able to offer something of use up to the kind folks on here who I have been slavishly following (and buying on their recommendations) for years. -{ {[]

I'm sure we'll get the side by side comparisons just like David's reviews of the Royale Solden and the Magnoli Spectre Polo.

Looks good. What's the name of the jacket?

It was the Ludlow Linen Blazer - stable brown

I also have this, I agree it's a great jacket.

It's lined but has the nice wool, linen and silk mix and has a nice unstructured / soft look when on. Colour is in my opinion slightly lighter than the BC and its mottled but it's certainly fits the bill.

It has been a top seller at j crew, website has been out of stock recently but looks like the occasional return has appeared.

It fits slightly small, so I went for 40 small and I am a 38/39 chest, it gives the shorter SA look.

    Cheers

I tried it but ended up returning because the shoulders didn't fit me properly. I've tried three different BC alternatives from ordering online and each time there was a fit issue that would have been a nightmare to tailor. I have consoled myself with the thought that sooner or later I'll wander into a mens clothing store and be able to try something on that finally works.

And I agree that the Ludlow is more beige than brown.

David, did you receive the BC belts yet ... can´t wait to hear your verdict and see pictures. :)

this is what i have got as an alternative to the BC jacket ...

    http://www.mrporter.com/en-es/mens/aspesi/sand-slim-fit-unstructured-linen-blend-blazer/645799?ppv=2

it runs very small and as L was sold out, i got XL which I would not have bought, but it fits perfectly ... considering that some of my jackets are M ... so one definitely has to size up.

I saw this in one of the NYC stores and almost pulled the trigger. I agree that it's one of the closer alternatives out there and also shares a bond label. Post pics of the entire outfit when you can!

What is too bad is that last year's version of this same jacket looked even more SA in color (which is the element I have found hardest to match).
